The maps are sometimes just plain wrong and often weird. Unlike Google Maps, it won't tell you which lane to be in, and it won't show you real time traffic conditions.

For the price they could of had more features as a camera for any accidents. But otherwise it keeps me ontrack with my speed and redlight as well as animal crossing.

Unable to give real time traffic, or unable to re-route before bad traffic even with expensive FM reciever. Unfortunately, not comparable to the liked Google maps.

This item doesn’t perform with anything like what I expected from a Garmin device. It acted erratically. Made it seem as if I was not on a road. Told me I was going downhill when I was actually going uphill and this was in the Rockies. Was not satisfied with this device at all. It also took a very long time to locate its satellite.

After 10 months of having this, it is showing many malfunctions. Freezes, powers off by itself, then restarts by itself, and appears to be "lost". Voice recognition is poor compared to previous older Garmin GPS models. Have to power the "receiver power cord" which retails for about $70 in order to get traffic feature. Only good feature is the larger screen size.

I like the gps as it has a large screen. But for some reason, it doesn't know the speed limit on a lot of roads. I need to take it in to see if something is wrong.

It's a good GPS and has advanced options, but there are some problems such as touch screen sometimes doesn't respond, hand free Bluetooth is a bad and needs improvement.

I was dissapointed that past addresses that were used as destinations are not retained and so you have to put each address in again completely for every trip.

Stopped working during the first week; the item was returned. You will need an extra cord or a connection to your smart phone for live traffic. The screen is large, but it is slower than my old garmins in advising of the turns. Also, the maps on the system was outdated and needed to be updated from a computer connection. Very disappointed as I had two garmins that functions as anticipated.

The navigation is up to date and the traffic alert is very fast. The 6” screen is a bit to large it doesn’t fit well on the windshield of certain cars.

We were planning on visiting Merida, Yuc, Mexico for a 5 day trip. So after reading many reviews chose Garmin over Tomtom Go (which I had used in the past) thinking buying maps as you go will help me use the device in many places in the world. We were planning on visiting Europe(Italy and Spain) as well so it looked like the best idea. But Garmin worked well within the US the reason why it got 1 star. I bought maps for South America and brought them uptodate. Then I chose to set all the places we would like to visit in the target country by changing the search area. Did not work. It always wanted to calculate the distance from the US. I tried blogs and changed the the home to the hotel address in Mexico as well. Did not work. Then I thought once I reach Mexico, I can set home to where I am staying and use the destinations. It picked up home alright. But never reached any destination in Mexico. We lost precious 2 hours. The only reason why the entire trip did not go kaput was because ATT works there and we could use google to get somewhere. Now I am worried if this junk will ever work outside the US. Since I am under warranty I am considering returning this to Best Buy. Simple option of setting country, state and area in that order would have worked nicely. But Garmin would have none of that.

Very upset with this product it keeps cutting out while in route.... Audition it makes me make wrong turns because the screen blacks out and restarts itself

This product takes more work and learning to use than should be neccessary. It is much easier to use my phones Google maps or my cars navigation.

Works OK but voice recognition is Terrible. It usually does not understands what I am saying. I HAVE TO TYPE THE ADDRESSES ALWAYS

I had problems with this unit since the install. Had to go back because it sounded like the speakers were randomly cutting out and the geeksquad said it probably needed an update. After getting it back, the problem persists and I just don't have the time to schedule my car for a problem I shouldn't be dealing with. The Bluetooth randomly stopped working on my phone, then just as randomly started working again. It's difficult to change stations and I still don't know how to turn the radio off except to turn the volume all the way down. THe GPS doesn't have any common sense and often tracks me the wrong way. Being familiar with my city, I can choose a better route and wait for the GPS to recalculate, but when in a strange area I have no choice to follow the GPS and only after arriving do I see it's wasn't the best route. Don't buy this unit; the only reason I did is because I wanted something in dash. The portable unit I bought for my other car is much better and....portable.

got this for a family member without a smartphone. not sure why else anyone would buy a standalone gps nowadays

Basically used it to see street names and my speed , the directions are theCDworst and haven't figured out how to change that yet

Can't connect with my car bluetooth and/or phone simultaneously. Either bluetooth music or Navigation. Guess which won? I returned this

Did not work for me it couldn’t find the the places I wanted to go . kept guiding me to others states with same name street addresses

Works good until you want live traffic it won't work even with smartphone link need traffic cable but couldn't get the help getting one
