Posted .Sorry about the confusion. While some previous models provided an audible prompt when it is "recalculating", your newer device does not.
However, your device will display the word Recalculating at the top of the screen if a turn is missed or if you choose to drive away from the intended route.

Plus as of today02/19/2018 it’s say my destination its on the right and it is as on the left and it has done this couple of times. I am as driving and it some how go lost and had me go in the wrong direction. Plus bluetooth isn’t very good for talking and listening. Just not a good buy

A huge disappointment

This is the third vehicle unit i have owned. Also have a Colorado hand held unit for hiking and Geocaching. I am returning this model for the second time. Voice command intermittently won't respond. Turn by turn directions mute. When using voice command I get to the "Find address" command. The unit says "speak an address in" and shuts off. Restarts on its own. Shows the Garmin screen. Then the "I promise not to be stupid" screen. Do the "Voice command" routine and it gets to the same point and shuts off again. Returning the 61 and getting a 65. Hope this one works better. FYI. I did talk to Garmin support. I did update both units. Very disappointed with this unit. Also you need to purchase a receiver power cord ($60) to get traffic warnings to work if you don't want to connect it to your smart phone. Garmin really dropped the ball on this unit.

I thought that this would be a less quirky and more precise and easy to operate than my current Nuvi 2460 model however I ended up returning it and buying three more of the same 2460s I currently have and I’m very happy with them.
