Have a mixed feeling with this UPS device after using it for about 1 month. Pro's: the large-sized screen delivers a very good display; the speaker is loud and clear to average people; the user interface is quite simple and well organized. Con's: must use a charger with 2 or more amps to charge the device, which means that most PCs USB ports and non-QC cell phone chargers will not work or will charge extremely slowly; its battery can last only about an hour while working, and this is kind of a joke to a device much bigger than a cell phone; the screen is not bright enough (still visible though) on a sunny day in 95 degree and the screen itself becomes reflective.

Ease of use and size of screen are more than adequate. I would recommend it to all.

I replaced a TOM-TOM with this unit. I have had at least 4 generations of TOM-TOMs and the interface got worse each time. This Garmin has a very good interface and the voice command is excellent. Blue-tooth phone and text messages also work very well. Road closures for construction are not updated and unless they cause a traffic back-up you do not know. An underpass near me has been closed for a month and it never shows up. The alternate routes are poorly selected. For example there are 4 ways from my home to work about 35 miles away. It will pick one at 45 minutes. When I ask for alternates it gives one additional at 55 minutes. If I manually select a third route by pointing to a particular intersection to use, if will come back to say that route is 44 minutes. Why not pick it first or second? Overall I am happy as I feel it is the best stand alone unit as I do not like using my phone for navigating although WAZE is better and more accurate.

Good gps, nice size screen. Bluetooth is great. Very easy to see from any angle.

This Garmin replaces a Garmin purchased almost 10 yrs ago. The Smartdrive is an absolutely GREAT GPS. Purchased primarily for a larger screen and the features are incredible. Probably more than we will ever use but neat to have. A particular great feature is that an exact address is NOT required to get to particular city or town. Also the "recalulating" annoying statement is gone! yeah

I decided to replace the gps I had with a newer one so did a little looking online and wasn't finding what I wanted so went looking around to see what was available and found this unit at Best Buy. Initially I didn't consider it because of the size. After comparing it with the other 2 on display I decided to give it a try. Took it on a job the next week and loved it. I've taken it on 2 other jobs and have no complaints. I like the larger screen.

This is my fifth Garman GPS and they have come a long ways I have one in each car because you never know when you might need them and for all the money you spend for car GPS is a small investment I haven’t had those for very long but so far I really like it I like the idea so much easier to update the map because it has a built-in Wi-Fi the screen is really bright and bigger I’m going to be going on a trip soon so I’ll give it a good test.

The DriveSmart 61 replaced a much older Garmin that died. The screen is much improved, software far better with a bit of a learning curve ( I'm not using the "speak to it" yet). However we are having trouble mounting the GPS to the windshield. With no visual guide, it's difficult to center the connection disk and when we do, the bottom rotates away so it's hard to click it closed. On paper it looks improved, in practice it's a real pain.

Very accurate maps and easy to use. Large screen and pairs well with a phone.

its a little slow in finding the addresses but nothing to difficult and when you are looking for places close to you it scoures its entire database and even in other states. very odd thing to do. i do like having my messages and phone call notification show up on the screen. which by the way is huge. I wouldn't recommend this size for a car but i drive a delivery truck and is ok.

This is a very nice GPS. Easy viewing, map updates automatically, very nice.

We bought this as it has a very large screen. It is very user f4riendly.

This GPS is a great product. I had a Garmon GPS for many years but this new Garmon is like night and day. It is so accurate and makes driving and exiting highways much safer. Especially how it shows the lane exits telling you to enter the left or right lane. It will also show you if the exits are one or two lanes. It also gives you plenty of notice to stAy on course.

I have never owned a gps before. This one far exceeded my expectations. I was especially concerned about being able to hear the verbal commands and directions because I have a severe hearing problem. I do wear hearing aids but was still concerned. I have been able to understand everything it says and have even found it necessary to turn the volume down to 90%.
