||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Accurate (for the roads actually available on the map), pleasant voices available, Traffic available, decent color schemes, can select different vehicle icons with different colors available for each icon. Cons: Could not get it to link to my phone via Bluetooth for the Traffic, so I had to purchase a separate power cable with traffic receiver (extra $70 roughly over the cost of the GPS), does not include local roads that have existed for 5 or more years in the map, does some weird routing at times if you are using a location saved by creating a mark where you are at (as opposed to using an address), 'Lifetime Traffic apparently is *ONLY* for your initial local area (i.e. I live in Jacksonville, FL, so traffic does not work in other areas of FL or in other states), though you may be able to purchase traffic subscriptions for other areas at a reoccurring annual cost per area (This is misleading compared to other GPS brands' 'Lifetime Traffic' which is for your home country, not just your home city.) Summary: While this GPS is OK, there are too many negatives that I have experienced for me to recommend it to others. It may be suitable for your needs if you are not worried about roads in business parks and other local roads not being included, which does have some impact on its usefulness. If you are only needing to drive on interstates, US routes, and other more established roads that have existed for well over 5 years & you are not that concerned with this issue with the 'Lifetime Traffic', then this device may work well for your needs.

Posted .Sorry for the confusion. Garmin offers three different types of traffic services in North America: Garmin Traffic, Smartphone Link Traffic, and HD Digital Traffic. All three traffic services receive traffic data from HERETM. There are minor differences in coverage areas and update refresh rates; however, all three provide traffic coverage in all major U.S. and Canada cities. First auto GPS I have ever had.

I called Total Tech Support and they set me up an appt. in 3 days. I took it in today, July 13, and they could only update the s/w and not the maps. I am now at home trying to update the maps. I believe my purchase included lifetime maps. This is the first time that I have purchased an electronic device and it lacked the latest updates. Bad customer service.

We've never had a problem with any of them; but upgraded to get more features. Some of the new features of this model that we like are: Built in bluetooth connectivity The 7" edge to edge display Advance notice of speed limit changes Notices for school zones and crosswalks, etc. We are still discovering and learning about new features

Insufficient battery power time, 30 minutes. Unit freezes for no apparent reason.Too much map detail, unable to navigate using the map. Often voice commands have insufficient time to navigate for a required response.
