I was very disappointed to discover on my new one that for the "Live Traffic Updates" function to work, I would need to either sync my smart phone with it OR buy a special power supply cord with a radio receiver built in. This special cord adds approximately $60.00 to the total cost. I have an older smaller Garmin GPS that I have owned for several years and it came with the special cord included. I'm old school enough that I don't want to tie my phone up with my navigation system as I use it to listen to Pandora on bluetooth over my car stereo. If I wanted to use my phone for navigation I would use Google Maps. I feel like it was false advertising for them to say it had lifetime traffic updates when it was not included in the box and special concessions for it to work needed to be made.

Too much fluff on the new maps that I don't need so I got a new gps. My old one was like 4 years old. I had a gift card and choose this gps because of the big screen. I don't have it hooked up to my phone because my car radio is bluetooth and I'd prefer to use the car speakers. This gps tells you street names and building names. I love it. Keep up the great work Garmin!

Last week it failed me at a critical point where I was relying on it to get me to my destination. I suddenly could not find the saved destination or any of the hundreds saved destination. Today I spoke with tech support and found I had inadvertently changes the screen. Just a touch at the right tab and all was well. I wonder if the tech support staff will ride in the car with me for my trips in the future.
