This is my second Garmin GPS and I love it more than my first one. Once and awhile it will send me the round about way but it always gets me where I want to go. The big screen is a plus when I'm not wearing my glasses AND it's looks complement any vehicle. If you're considering buying one you will not regret it!

The size of this makes it easy for those of us that need big letters to read or see things easier. I have noticed a couple of glitches in the travel routing, failing to identify and notify me of closed roads(these were a few major roads), Other than the poor battery that Garmin uses I really like this unit. I like the fact that you can update it via WIFI or plug it into your computer. I also like the program from Garmin that you can download(to your PC), plan a trip route and then up load it to your GPS.

I use this mostly at work and I must say that it works exactly as expected. The screen is huge so the bar across the top that displays various things doesn't take up much room. The only annoying thing, which doesn't bother me too much, is the bing bongy noise that it does when you go over the speed limit, etc.

The most important reason this is great is the size of display which makes this so easy to read,work, and adjust! ...to have a dedicated GPS makes life easy..save your phone for other uses that doesn't drain the battery. I love this device!!

I have a high-end car with a lot of bells and whistles but the navigation on the vehicle is garbage. My new truck comes with one of the premium navigation systems but many times the system has a 2-3 second delay, meaning I have passed the turn by the time it tells me to make the turn. To the rescue comes my Garmin! Very accurate and it is simple to enter or search for addresses. I also like that it alarms if I am exceeding the posted speed limit which acts as a reminder.

In a world where everyone has cell phones with GPS, a device like this is often overlooked or thought of as something not necessary. I beg to differ. This GPS is fantastic, and for me, It eliminates the fumbling back-and-forth between my cell phone and the GPS app. Plus the extra large screen is extremely detailed and looks great on my dashboard. As far as the accuracy and quality, Garman is top notch. Definitely a worthwhile purchase especially for professional drivers or as a companion on a long road trip. This GPS has every option I can think of and the live traffic is a huge plus. If you’re considering a dashboard GPS look no further.

Love this Garmin. Only things I don't like are that the menu to search in different cities is a bit confusing and you can't delete previous locations. Voice commands work well but the notifications are very basic (Facebook) and don't really give you much information. Screen is huge and the graphics are nice. Great upgrade from my 7 year old Garmin

Excellent buy. Only one small issue. The cable that comes with the unit, the Garmin says is not capable of charging the unit. Also the beginning instructions could be a little more detailed to help explain the options. Otherwise fine unit and it is the 2nd one I have purchased for our 2nd vehicle.

The Garmin navigational device is the best I have ever used including original equipment from Audi, and Acura. The voice commands work very well and the graphic display is very easy to follow. The real time traffic display and directions are what really sold me on this product. Highly recommended.

An update for my gmc was $199 which caused me tho look at options. I should also add that i pretty much had quit using it due to its terrible performance. I am very pleased with this garmin. The suction mount fits well on the vehicle gps display screen. Much easier to use and much more reliable.

After 7 years, the battery on my old Garmin became intermittent in really cold weather. Best Buy was running a sale on the Drive Smart 61 - with a 6.9 inch screen - about twice the size of the old one. Love it! Installed easily, transferred all the saved info without a problem. Only weakness was it didn't use any of the accessories from the old unit such as the charging cord or traffic antenna. Plan on spending another $60 to actually make it work. Fixed the problem of "recalculating" announcements every time you change direction. The voice recognition is better but the speaking of road names etc. is inferior. All in all, well worth it.

I purchased this GPS as a replacement for my previous GPS that I had for over 3 years. This unit has a very large screen that took some getting used to. The voice command works well. This unit connects to WiFi to get updates. The first update took about 2 hours to upload. It has several upgrades that my previous Garmin didn’t have. It has alerts for speed changes, railroad crossings, and school zones. It will also let you know if you are traveling the wrong way on a street. The sound quality is good but I haven’t used it as a speaker for my phone as my vehicle has Bluetooth capability. Hopefully this unit will last as long as my previous Garmin.

I bought this to replace my 6 year old Garmin. So far this is the best one to date, all of the features are easily usable and the voice activation has not misspelled or misdirected. This one is so user friendly and easy to use. I recommend all others to upgrade as soon as they can.

This GPS does a lot of things that help you get through traffic. The traffic alert is great if you are not sure of traffic problems ahead of you. Speaking the commands makes the unit hands free. The way it lets you know that you are over the speed limit is cool and very noticeable.

I bought this GPS to replace an older Garmin model that was still functioning well. I am glad that I did. The improvements in this one, besides the larger screen, are outstanding. The directions given are very clear and it is almost impossible to make a wrong turn. The lane guidance is also excellent and clear, but you still have to pay attention, as it sometimes puts you in the far right lane when you can turn from the two right lanes. It comes with lifetime map updates and lifetime traffic. It is a great tool and much better than using the map function on a phone.

This has great voice command and blue tooth which interfaces with your Smart Phone. I was thinking it would download traffic from Satellites but that is not the case. You must have a Smart Phone to use the Traffic portions, etc. Overall it is a great resource, but not as smart as the Smart Phone with Google Maps for Mapping.

my friend and I were on a trip in Boston and he was renting a car and it didn’t have GPS so we decided instead of him using his iPhone and wasting his battery he get a Garmin. He’s enjoyed it so much he named it Sondra

The larger size of this Garmin is great for reading the screen; however, the weight makes it harder to keep it supported where I can see it; therefore only the four stars. I ordered a size-specific vent mount for this, and it still sits precariously and is easily toppled off. The Garmin has some great settings -- i can make calls through it with my smart phone if the car doesn't have a Sync system, and my dad can track me on my trips through the Track Drive app; which sometimes sets his mind at ease. Pictures of freeway signs appear when necessary to guide me along multi-lane areas, construction areas are noted in advance as i drive and it even suggests when i should take a quick break from driving.

Easy to use, neat voice command feature, works well.

I had my prior Garmin for many years and it finally "kicked the bucket." Decided to go big and purchase this Garmin and boy am I happy. Nice big screen!! It actually is so big that it took a bit of time to get used to. At the time this model was only $10 more than the smaller screen... so why not?? The voice command feature is amazing and works well (turn down your radio first). Entering a destination took me a bit of time to get used to as it is different than my prior model, but nothing a little playing around with can't solve. Oh yeah, EVERYTHING'S better with bluetooth. Would highly, highly recommend.
