    Questionable upgrade

I've been waiting for Fenix 5 to be updated for a while to get more running features than what I currently get with the Forerunner 235, However, I've been disappointed so far for one main reason: poor bluetooth connection. I liked wearing my forerunner all day long for its smart watch features. No mater where I left my phone at home my watch would notify me of calls and texts that I would have otherwise completely miss. The fenix 5 plus keeps on disconnecting from my phone and I can no longer get Smart notifications unless I keep my watch with me which defeats the purpose. Due to the poor bluetooth, I also can't go running with wearing my watch on my left wrist and paring with my bose headphones. The sound continously disconnects. I have to switch the watch to my right wrist. This is unacceptable for a $800 watch. Garmin needs to consider increasing the output power in a firmware upgrade or let this be a customizable field for users who are willing to sacrifice battery life for usefulness.

I owned the 5x plus, 5 plus and tried the 5s plus because the other two are huge on my small wrists. It does everything it's supposed to but needs to be charged every 48 hours. It was perfect especially the size but battery life will force me to return.

I have owned every single exercise watch there is. The two main issues I have with these watches is that they don't maintain the HR and the battery starts acting stupid. I researched and researched. Folks swore by the Fenix watches. I watched YouTube videos where folks said they had their watches for 5 years and counting. Every watch - and i mean every one of them - start acting stupid after 3 months and this expensive watch is no exception. I simply do an hour on the elliptical a day. That's it. No swimming or snowboarding. I burn over 700 calories an hour, but it started slowly going down. Now, it's saying 450 an hour. So I tried to reset the whole thing and the watch went from bad to worse. Now the battery dies after DAY. I have no watch faces, no nothing. This is why I won't buy any of these watches without a warranty because they ALWAYS break on me (physically or in the software) after about 3 months of use and I don't do anything but elliptical. I'm trading it for something cheaper and I won't get another.
