I had the Fenix 3 and got the Fenix 5X for christmas. I love these watches. Everything I need right on my wrist. It is a little expensive but worth every penny. Now my son is happy with the Fenix 3.

I bought this watch because I had a big hiking trip out in Wyoming. The gps saved me on the trail on more than one occasion. As a smart watch, I feel like it has some limited capability, and isn’t as fluid as some of the other options out there. Worth the purchase, but keep in mind what you’re buying

I’ll try to keep this short and say, this watch does everything. I had been eyeballing the Fenix 5x for many months and finally decided to purchase. My only regret is that I should have done it sooner. This week, my 5X has been my golf GPS for two rounds, navigation gps for 12 miles backpacking in the Virginia Highlands, tracking time and pace for four 3 mile runs, sleep tracking, alarm clock, and of course, my watch. It does more and you will love it if you just want to track daily sleep and fitness or if you’re an outdoor enthusiast.

This is a great watch, well worth the $$$. It has every exercise, hiking, swimming, climbing, basically it has an app for anything you plan on doing that involves exercise or the outdoors...nice.

Love it!!!! Get this watch!!!! It's better than anything out there!!!! Pros: Everything any other Garmin has with the addition of the best maps and most fitness activities!!! Cons: None

However. The only plus is the mapping. If you can do without the upgrade. The fenix 3 works just as well

I love this watch and have more to learn about what it can do. The gps is awesome for outdoor fun and it has customizable features for all your activities

It’s a great watch with many options but it’s not touch screen as one would think of all new watches. This ones meant to be more rugged so it takes some getting use to the side buttons. I ended up returning it.

Upgraded to the 5X from the Fenix3 since that stopped working...MUCH better battery life, more capabilities (mapping function is awesome); however, this watch is a "bit" overpowered for my particular needs; however, it looks and works great and is every bit worth the price (I swim, walk and cycle - no running, golf, or much hiking due to medical issues). Haven't yet tried with Rowing, but works really well with cycling and swimming! If you're "reckless" with money, this is the fitness/smartwatch to get! :)

Watch is strong and not heavy. Super accurate, easy to use and veryyyy useful to track exercises. I just replace my Apple Watch for this Fenix and never go back to apple.

Hands down better than any of the previous smart watches I have owned. The only negatives I have are that it should have come with, or had the option for, longer band sizes and that the display can be too dark depending on the situation. Otherwise its basically perfect.

Started with. Fitbit but wanted more data with my running. This deffo filled that need. Everything. I could want and more. Battery strength without charge is excellent

I was wrong about all the reasons I waited on this. Battery life is amazing, features, full t and function are best in class. I wouldn’t change anything about the Fenix 5X.

I bought the galaxy watch, but it's getting a little old. This keeps it fresh while still maintaining the ruggedness, which I require with some looks.

I was never really a watch person till I got this Garmin watch for running/hiking. Awesome battery life, great GPS signal, and the thing practically never leaves my wrist.

looked at the Suunto Sparton, Did not like the mapping program. Have owned 5 Suunto, until now.

This watch tracks everything! You could run a marathon and still have 80% battery. Garmin connect integrates very well with phone and watch.

Amazing watch with lots of capabilities. The customization options are amazing and the physiological tracking abilities are above anyone else.

I love, love love this watch. The particular model I bought came with a GIS map. I love Kayaking and biking, I also like calling the map up and using it to navigate when my phone is not fully accessible. If you buy one of these make sure to research to get just the model you need an each watch has different capabilities. For example mine came without the ability to pay at the store and I would have liked that feature as well. But that is how you learn by owning a watch.
