The order arrived a day earlier than specified. Already use it, the first days, the product works perfectly, easy to use and fortunately the big screen I have no problems reading the measurements. It is my first product of the brand and yet I have no problem to start or schedule my workouts. It is still a good option even when there are newer models of the series.

Garmin has hit a home-run with this watch when it comes to hiking, climbing and ski/board mountaineering. For my purposes - daily activity tracking, cycling and walking - the sensor suite is fine and consistent meaning I get good insight into changes in my health / performance, which was what I was after.
It's a pricey piece of kit, but it looks good on your wrist and it'll track just about any activity you can think of while performing as a useful adjunct to your phone. And you don't even need to take it off when you shower.

Reason for 4 stars is that first watch had a defective battery and stopped charging after 3 charge. Garmin replaced it no problem and payed all the shipping so all I had to do is write an email to Garmin and wait few days for delivery. Watch itself is super durable and does anything imaginable. So far no complains and watch was able to trek anything I needed. One of the places where GPS goes nuts is when you dive, water apparently blocks the signal and watch has hard time pinpointing your location, other then underwater I was was not able to find a location where there was no or poor GPS or Glosnas signal

I stalked Best Buy web site for days waiting for this to be in stock. I have the Fenix 3 without HR now and was excited to get this. After a few days with it I think I'm going to return it. It's heavier than my 3, the screen seems darker in daylight and to me it's hard to read when looking straight at it esp with sunglasses (non-polarized). Not sure if it's the glossy sapphire glass or what is different but it's def noticable. I have to angle it away to actually see it many times. The wrist band feels thinner and less durable as well. The newer menus are nice, it's very responsive and moves quickly between tasks. I think I'm spoiled by using a HR strap so after so long with one the built in HR seems sluggish during some activities. The HR sensor makes the watch sit up higher on wrist and feel bulkier than my 3. It's a super nice very capable fitness watch and if you really need the mapping and other advanced stuff is a great choice but I find myself mainly just tracking runs, hikes, workouts etc. and I'm not finding enough that's better to justify the very very high price. It's nice having a constant HR reading though. I keep missing the 3 while I have this one on and for this price I should feel the opposite. I'll wear it a few more days and see, so far I'm really on the fence.

Hi,
Thanks you for your review and sorry to hear about your issue with the fenix 5x. With the backlight settings you can change those settings to make sure you can read the screen.

Purchased as a gift for my husband, he loved it. It looks rugged while also being clean enough to wear out. It has so many functions- perfect for an active man. The battery life is amazing- rarely have to charge it. He works outside with his hands and the watch has held up well.

O my gosh I just love all the features the battery life!!
I went from the Fitbit Surge to the Garmin Fenix 5X wow thought I was happy but the Garmin I can't think of anything it's not capable of doing. I believe it's the best fitness tracker on the market. It's a little expensive but honestly once you owne and use it you will be so happy you went and spent a few extra dollars!!!!
I'm in love with mine!!!!

I've never been a watch guy, but I'm so glad I made this purchase. I really enjoy tracking my various workouts, seeing my daily steps and knowing I have map functionality on my wrist. The battery life is way better than I expected, sometimes I'll go almost a week without charging it. I get compliments on the looks of this as well.

I received my Fenix 5x today. Thank you BestBuy!! Coming from fenix 3 without hr feature, Overall this watch is a well-deserved upgrade for me and exceeds my expectations already. A built in map will certainly help me when riding, running/hiking outside without having a phone really. Setup with connect was easy and without any issues. Later, i will ride indoors and enjoy it more. I love it I love it I love it!! I recommend this watch to every sports lovers out there! Thank you Garmin!

Great watch for me. I bought this watch for hiking and trail running. Works great for both. The battery life last well over a week before charging. Watch is waterproof and rugged. Tracks your heart rate. Gps is measures your distance and cadence while running. This a big watch, but i have really small wrist and it doesn't bother me.

Been looking for a worthy replacement for my older well made watch. I've been looking for a few years for a fitness tracker/smart watch that would endure, hopefully for a decade or more. I think I found it in the F5X. It has everything I hoped for and more. Had it for a few months now and wear it 24/7 since it monitors all my health stats around the clock.

Love this watch! Got it last year during a Black Friday deal (and was able to use some gift cards obtained through kitchen set purchase). While it's not as "fancy" as a 6, it's great. And glad I got the 5X, anything smaller would be annoying (I'm 6', 180lbs, normal build).
