I owned all Apple Watch generations and didn't know what I was missing until purchasing the Fenix 5 (upgraded to 6X). Apple's touchscreen is inoperable once any liquid has touched the surface. Garmin's actionable buttons solve this problem, which is paramount with water sports. It's kinda funny because I recall Apple's commercial with a girl taking a call from the a surfboard. I'm pretty sure her hands and watch would need to be completely dry for that to ever be accomplishable. Needless to say, if you want a very functional watch that will help elevate your fitness data, this is it.

Wanderful battery life on average 11-13 days, good features for excercise. Love the watch was resistant to spend 1100 in a watch but I am more than satisfied with the watch.

Works as expected. Love The extra real estate with screen. Only wish the solar aspect added more battery life, unsure of its real current value at the costs of sapphire screen.

The Garmin Fenix line is the top of the line tracker watch for anyone. It can track any activity and is lighter than previous models. The solar charging is brilliant. the iWatch doesn't even compare.

Amazing battery life! Got this watch to better track triathlon sports prep and performance and love that a charge lasts a couple of weeks even with all the training.

This is best of the breed GPS/ Activity out there. The build quality and durability is just amazing. I can put it through sun rain water and never worry about it.

Overall a great update to the Fenix 5 models. I still have the Fenix 3 and Fenix 5 Sapphire. Is it worth upgrading to the Fenix 6? For me, yes as the screen is measurably larger and as a result, much more practical for most users. Battery life is also much better than my Fenix 5. Tip: unless you are doing very long training/races of more than 10 hours at a time, ski the Solar version and get the Sapphire version. You save about $150.00 and get a much harder/scratch proof watch screen. Highly recommended!

Gps options improved previous version, solar feature is neat but still has room to improve, the dimensions of the case were change to avoid a bulky feeling.

I do a lot of hunting/hiking off the grid. It allows me to use the needed items and connects to my other Garmin device. The battery is never an issue compared to an iwatch

Once you get familiar with using all the functions it's a great all purpose watch. Rugged, sleek fit, perfect for the adventurer & every day use.

Top tier brand. Great quality. My husband love it. I bought it for Xmas gift. I knew he loved the brand so it was a winner. I went off other reviews and they are correct. This watch is a must have. Great battery life, has it setup where he gets his text on there. He has a busy career so it’s helpful to just look at the watch for alerts to see which are important enough to go get the phone. He says it’s also very comfortable and great fit.
