After doing a ton of research I zoomed in on the Garmin Feniz 8 AMOLED Sapphire 47mm. For golfers like me this baby has all the bells and whistles of the Garmin Approach S70. But wait,,,the Fenix 8 also has all the sports, fitness and health features of the Garmin line and can receive AND make phone calls as well as text messages. If you're a golfer and want to use your GPS watch as an all purpose smart watch this is the ticket.

Incredible watch. I love all its features, it's truly a very useful tool for me.

It’s a great watch that does everything and the build quality is superb. However I had to return it because it did not come preloaded with topo maps. Only the sapphire crystal version does. So I got a FR750 and that solved the problem.

The watch is just super. Lightweight, lots of functions. I like it. The charge without a solar panel lasts 2 weeks.

I like because is light , i do running and route bike.

Love it, no issues, battery lasts long. I got the 47mm one and its the perfect size for me.

I love this watch. It is a Price increase from the Fenix 7 which i had before. I would say definitely say to garmin users the features i enjoy on this watch: Phone calling. when im using my phone and someone is calling, i pick up on my watch to multitask. Activity Tracking: while activity is tracking you can go back to your home screen and continue to use the other features. I know on my fenix 7 once i was tracking an activity, i couldn't really go back and use other feature once the tracking was active.

Watch died after using it for 6 months. First it started with random shutoff, more and more frequent in the past few days, then wouldn't start at all unless on charger and finally won't even start on the charger anymore. Need to go through an exchange with Garmin. Will be without a watch for several days as a result. Lots of talks about this issue on social media for this model just dying, especially after updating. Not a good look for Garmin. Good watch overall, the scuba diving feature is great. Their app UI (Garmin Connect) is by far not the best either.
