It's a little smaller than my last smartwatch but the battery life and fact that I didn't use my Galaxy watch to its full potential is the main I reason I got it and I don't regret it one bit. Maybe in a few years I'll buy a bigger version of a Forerunner cause it just feels a little small on my wrist.

Purchased to help track fitness as I’m new to running. It was priced well and has everything you would need as a beginner. It is constructed well. Great battery life and display even in the sun.

The Garmin Forerunner 165 GPS works phenomenal—fast GPS lock, accurate tracking, and super easy to use. Perfect for both daily runs and long training sessions!

My granddaughter is a cross-country runner and was trying to get a new personal record but was having trouble setting her pace right. I got her the Garmin watch and wow did that help and she set two new personal records. She really likes the app that she can see the course that she ran and the pace changes that earned her an all conference 3rd place as a high school sophomore.

Upgraded from the Vivosmart, which finally died after a few years. It's a nice upgrade, and seems to read my levels a bit better. The user interface took some getting used to...and there weren't very clear instructions. Some of the touch settings took some figuring out. But after some fiddling around, I think I got it.
The wrist band is more comfortable, and battery life is excellent so far! Can't comment on durability yet, as I haven't had it long enough.

I run quite a bit myself, and it’s been great for sleep tracking, health, and pretty much everything I would need. I’ve worn it every day, and trust me when I say that there is no lack of information. Everything I would need to see I can find in the app or on the watch itself. Amazing product

Sadly, my old Forerunner 235 gave up the ghost. During the years we were together, it apparently became a crime to have a simple B&W face on a watch that reliably tracks your run, links to a heart monitor, draws a map, and maybe alerts you to a text on your phone.
The 165 is lovely and feels great and works great. But do I really need to see the time of day outlined in neon green and blue? Do I really need my total miles for the week listed right there above the time of day? Are there actually people who stress over their "Avg vertical ratio," "Avg vertical oscillation" and "Est Sweat Loss"? Does my watch really care how I feel (it honestly asks that!) after a run? How does it THINK I feel? I feel tired, because I just ran. What the heck is my "Body Battery"? And I'm not in kindergarten, so I don't need that gold trophy after a new "record."
I've spent my first few days busily disabling features.
The 165 GPS links quicker than my 235, it has a more solid connection to my heart monitor.
It feels great. I think I'll learn to love it. But I sure do miss that old 235.

My husband absolutely loves this watch! I got it for him as an anniversary gift. He swims, cycles and runs. He says that it is perfect for all his activities and syncs up with his Garmin and Strava apps.

After multiple marathons, half marathons and countless other running events, I finally caved and got a Garmin watch. So far, the watch makes tracking my runs easier and I could connect it to the app I’ve been using all these years so I can compare times.
I opted for a lower cost Garmin, because I wasn’t convinced I’d wear it. But this watch really has everything I need, and I’m intrigued by all the stats reported so I’m wearing it! And it’s made me better at answering my phone since it alerts me when my always-on-silent phone is ringing.

This watch initially caught my eye due to the battery life. However, it has drastically contributed to my fitness goals and overall health. The health insights it provides are far more intuitive then my previous watch- which makes sense. This is a fitness tracker where my other watch was a smart watch, so they are obviously built to do different things. Besides the battery life, my favorite feature of this watch is that adjusts to you. Meaning if I’m having a less active week then I typically would and my step count is down, the watch will adjust my step goal accordingly BY ITSELF. So it may not be classified as a “smart watch” but it is far more smart than any watch I’ve ever owned!
