This is a great upgrade from the 245. Everything you need as a runner and more. Fourth Garmin and this is the best Forerunner yet. With the “gorilla” glass, this is tough.

I have owned 3 watches from garmin. My only complaint is the battery charging connection. My first garmin used magnetic charging, and that worked great, but since then, for both the Instinct and this watch, i am stuck with a special cable that you can't just find in any store. You have to order from Garmin. Having said that,being able to track so much data for years is great. Garmins connect allows me to see my progress over the past years weeks, months. That is a great feature. Garmin IQ is also relatively easy for watch faces.

I loved this watch. It fit great, looked great and performed great. My only gripe would be that, as a smart watch, it didnt have many watch faces to pick from out of the box. Otherwise, loved it

I will preface this review by stating that this watch is great for those looking for a watch that is 90% fitness 10% watch. If you are looking for something that is more smartch watchie than fitness or even 50/50 fitness watch this is light on anything outside of fitness. Amazing watch for those that love to run. The comprehensive running coaches help set a plan for your fitness goals. My wife loves the watch and is using it to train for a 5k. I highly reccomed this watch for those looking forna true fitness watch.

I bought this because I wasn't really happy with the fitbit charge 5 sleep tracking. The heart rate tracker is very inaccurate when you workout unless you select the workout setting. Once you do that it's pretty good. The sleep tracker isn't perfect, arguably slightly better than the charge 5. The app is way better than the fitbit app.

I've been wearing the Forerunner 255 for five weeks. I customized the "Activities" tracking I need and the health monitoring data I use, including sleep quality and VO2 level. It even gives weather alerts and evaluates your distance and pace for running and biking. I have bumped it on objects many times but it doesn't have any scratches on the face. There is a learning curve to use it, but it's worth taking the time to learn what it can do. It can be used for swimming, but not for scuba diving.

This Watch is great. I used to have an apple watch for running, and this gps accuracy and the things it tells you about your health are way better.

This watch does 90% of what it’s more expensive sibling do at a great price. Plus the battery life if incredible.

Great running watch with built-in GPS. Maybe it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the higher-end Garmin watches, but it still provides plenty of metrics.

The last time I owned a fitness tracker/running watch was five years ago, and it was rudimentary by today's standards. The data geek that I am, I've loved both the workout and sleep tracking versatility this watch offers. A great value for money proposition, I very much appreciate what the 255 can do consistently well for how little I spent (relatively speaking). Only knock on it is a battery life that's a bit shorter than a week, but that can likely be managed by reducing screen brightness.

Amazing battery life, excellent features and performance. I fully recommend it whether you are an athlete or not.
