What more could you ask for from a running watch? It does it all, and it does it well. First and foremost, the battery life is incredible. Coming from an Apple Watch, multi-day battery life, combined with all day continuous HR monitoring and sleep tracking, is a huge win. Admittedly, this watch can do so many things and is so customizable it will make your head spin at first. But, it will track your daily exercise activities out-of-the-box without any hesitation. You don't have to do any advanced customization of activities, but the power is there if you want it. This paired with my Wahoo Tickr HRM on the first try and works like a charm every time. No more fighting with getting my Wahoo strap paired properly with my Apple Watch/iPhone. The GPS tracking has been flawless. Satellite lock is super fast and consistent. There are tons of widgets to display all the metrics a runner could possibly want to see and of course, the same data is available via Garmin Connect (app or web). Very impressive in terms of the amount of data captured. I really could go on a while and still wouldn't cover all the awesome features of this FR935. But I bet if you're interested in this watch, you've likely already checked out the same reviews I did and know the ins-and-outs of it. So, hands down, this is a solid investment!

Stay away from this watch! Stay away from this watch because its so awesome that now everyone wants it! Its light, it's packed with a lot of data for swim, bike and run. If you have a power meter and a heart rate monitor then awesomeness to the extreme!! But please don't purchase it just to wear something that tells time and your heart rate, this watch is meant for someone meaning to finish that light at the end of the arch :-).

    For The Extreme Trainer

After much research, and now using the Forerunner 935 for 5 weeks, there's nothing close to comparison. A selling point at the top of my list, I've charged this watch twice in 5 weeks. I recommend this watch for those extreme athletes that train 4 to 6 days per week. I have used this watch to track my runs, road and mountain bike rides, as well as open water and pool swims. The level of accuracy and the amount of data gathered is second to none. Side by side comparisons with friends Apple watch & Android Wear is testament that. Yes, a bit on the pricey side, but as an everyday tool, it's ROI makes it worth every dollar. Please note, it does so many more things it's astonishing. Imagine having a super computer on your wrist all times. The golf feature is my favorite when I'm not training. When you put this on your wrist, I guarantee you will find new motivation.

Awesome watch for running & biking

Love this watch!! Bought it 1.5 years ago and wear it almost 24/7. I mainly use it for running and biking, but also to track my daily heart rate, calories burned, steps, and sleep. The screen is very easy to read. It took a little time to learn how to navigate the menus using the 5 buttons, but I personally prefer buttons over a touchscreen watch face. I’ve never had any problem syncing the watch to the Garmin Connect app. I also use the Garmin Running pod and never had an issue with connecting it to my watch. No complaints about the battery life, although I can’t really say how long the battery lasts. I usually plug it in to charge when I shower. It charges fairly quickly. My only complaint is that the Garmin’s sleep feature isn’t as sensitive as Fitbit’s sleep feature. I had a Fitbit Surge years ago and it would detect midday naps, Garmin does not (at least the Forerunner 735xt and 935 do not). However, I’m not overly concerned about my sleep data. This is still my favorite GPS watch that I’ve had thus far!

I upgraded from forerunner 35 to 935. So impressed with the data points it collects. They help a lot to improve my running. The color LCD dial is of decent size, make my reading of smart alerts so easy. Battery comes for more than a week with 3 active runs per week. The Garmin connect app syncs with Strava not as expected as forerunner35. Especially the moving time. Otherwise I'm happy with my purchase so far.

Short answer, I love it and you should treat yourself. Long answer I have had this watch for over a month now and I love it, previously had a Fitbit Ionic that died for no reason. I'm a data junkie anyway and this is a huge enabler. Connected to the ConnectIQ app this device becomes very powerful. While running it let's me know when I am coming up to my favorite Strava segments and then proceeds to let me know how I fare to goals or a previous best. If not on a Strava segment I get to see my pace, distance, time all in a clear format. The watch itself is very comfortable for all day wear and looks good on all occasions. You can select your own watch face and I do like a circular face for a slick analog display. The battery life is very good too. I go days without charging and I use GPS for about 2 hours per day. For fitness metrics you can see your heart rate metrics and how that applies to V02max, training effect and status. It let's you know when you can push harder and when you ought to be resting. The details in after exercise review are great for seeing how you performed at various places on your course.

I wanted a smart watch like my apple watch, but with the functionality of my garmin forerunner. Unfortunately, you have to give up some of the features of the apple iwatch, but you get a top of the line tri watch with this product. Battery life is about a week, constant heart rate monitor, and it looks very stylish for a man right out of the box. Definitely worth it for serious training and it does do the basic smartwatch functions, which is an extra bonus.

This watch does it all. The battery life can't be beat. Wear it all day do at least 1 hr work out, receive multiple notifications, and it tracks sleep. With all of the above, the battery easily lasts 1-week without needing a charge.

I bought the Garmin Forerunner 935 for my wife this past Christmas. She was elated to receive this as a gift and has been wearing it daily. My wife is a personal fitness trainer and exercising is the center of her life. She keeps track of heart rate, steps, calories burned and enjoys the text messages she can read on her watch when her phone isn't right next to her. The battery is excellent and I charge her phone approximately every 2 weeks. You can sleep with this thing and record your vitals but she prefers not to because of it's rather large size. There are so many other features but space doesn't allow it or more truthfully my slow typing for this review. Would I buy it again? absolutely.

As an aspiring runner, this watch has been wonderful. It does everything it promises and does it well. At my level, it offers more data than I need, but I hope to need that info some day. Currently, I track my runs, swims, and exercises plus my calorie intake. It’s been motivational and has helped keep me on the wagon. I’m using a Garmin Coach for an upcoming 5k and my only complaint is that program is not as adaptive as I would like. The watch is terrific, though.

I had the 735 and battery didn't last as much as this one. I would say that you could go for almost a week without charging it again (with minimal activities.) This is more than a triathlon watch... you can add more sports to it! Buy it! No regrets at all!

I started running 5 months prior and my Fitbit watch broke and fitbit was very unhelpful over phone/online. I did research and spe t more $ on a watch then ever before. This watch has blown me away at every turn. From li e pace updates while running, to livetrack for people to see how har I am into my races. The coaching programs, and the crazy amount of info it gives you from each run. Also the battery lasts almost 2 weeks! Most other watches I have owned need charged every 2-3 days.

There isn’t enough space to type out all of the advantages and things I love about this training aid...I don’t even call it a watch because it is so much more than that. If you’re an aspiring triathlete or any level of runner, this is the watch to take you to the next level!
