A great watch. I use it for kayaking, MTB, trail running and it is Great!. It had a black and white screen (not colour neither touch screen) but it is necessary for more power and solar charge capacity. The battery last more than 20 days if you don't use gps. Using gps I believe it could last at least 3 days (more than I need when I hike) but without taking into account the dollar charge capacity. To have taking on maps you need your cellphone. You can download previously map an your phone to work without connection

This watch is great, the only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because the real life battery life is about half of the estimated 21 days. I knew it would be less but I was hoping for two weeks before needing charged. Otherwise it updated, functions, and tracks awesome.

Love the watch so far has everything i need in a watch and more than enough smart watch capabilities without being an extra phone on my wrist. Battery life is great and the screen is the perfect size with more than enough widgets that give me everything i need

Initially out of the box, the watch was a disappointment, as it showed only 12 days of battery life on full charge. But once I connected it to the garmin connect app and did a firmware update, it now gives 28 days of battery life. Up from 24 on my instinct 1st gen. I love the morning greeting as well.

Bought for my anniversary with fiance. He enjoyed the rugged look, long battery life (I think he said weeks with one charge), and its improved sensor (he was upgrading from two gens back). The built in flashlight was a cool surprise.

I originally had a forerunner 265, before I broke it. I honestly like the face of the 265 better than the instinct 3 solar. The instinct is harder to read messages, it has alot more information available on the screen without going through the fuctions of the watch. On the plus side the instinct battery life incredibly long 20 plus days without a single charge. If I were younger it would be a non issue as far as seeing the watch but now i need to pull out readers... most of the time I just dismiss notifications since I can't just glance down at it and tell what it says. If your eye sight is better then it will an awesome watch.

Was on a backpack mountain goat hunt, and the watch stay charged the whole time which was important to me when evaluating watches.

Love this watch and the buttons on the side are much easier to use than my previous Garmin watch with the touch screen. Battery life is awesome. Best Buy lowered the price after I purchased the watch and I was able to get a $100 price match

I have enjoyed this watch. I do wish it was touch screen but that isn’t a deal breaker. It is sturdy and works awesome in all features.

What does this watch not do! Definitely worth the money. It does everything and more! What else can I say.

Love this watch. Solid, looks great and very durable. The flashlight function in the watch has suprisingly come in handy more than orginally thought. Woild recommend!

The best purchase ever!! Battery last almost a week, health features are outstanding and accurate, heart monitor is so reliable!!! Love my watch!!!

The battery life is only about 14 days if you workout/run regularly and use the GPS features. No big deal just charge it whenever you need too. But it will 100% last 28 days or more with the solar charging if you just want a smart watch. Visibility is great too, bright or dark you can always clearly see the display. Overall highly recommend if you need a watch that can last in the rigorous conditions and tracking tour physical performance

Although a bit pricey, this is a great watch. I thought i wouldn't like the orange accent, but it's honestly looks pretty good in person. Mostly got it for the battery (I have a Galaxy Watch Classic 8 as a smartwatch), and the battery has been great on it. Wastes about 10 percent (probably a little less) per day, and it has become my daily wearable. Great for tracking workouts too.

Love the battery life. The light on the watch has been a life saver during my early morning workouts. The workout trackers help me keep track of my sets and reps.

Love the long battery life (28 days), I like that it tracks all my health metrics, especially my sleep patterns. Love all the data at my finger tips like sunrise and sunset, steps, calories burned, compass, etc.

A must have gadget to monitor activity specifically heart rate,accurate and reliable. With superb battery longlasting.

The watch is amazing. The face is a little bigger than expected but it works amazing!
