My last Garmin GPS I bought about 4 years ago. All I wanted was the speed limit display on the screen and the most up-to-date map. I couldn't justify to pay to get the updated map once in awhile. Anyway, it was time to get the latest GPS. It comes with what I want + the traffic update and the detail picture of the lane on how to take the exit. These days I use Waze app therefore the traffic update isn't that big of a deal any more. :) Over all It is a great GPS. I recommended my sister to get one but with the Bluetooth capable for $25 more.

GPS was very easy to program,large screen very easy to view for a older person. Will probably buy another one for a family member. .

The Garmin GPS for someone that doesn't need a hands-free bluetooth feature that continues to provide easy to follow directions. It is easy to setup a multiple stop trip while doing day trips while on vacation. In fact you can pre-load the locations of all your hotels or B&B's before the trip starts. A great stress reducer to be able to easily find your way in new areas and have a accurate prediction of your time of arrival.

I should have bought a Garmin earlier, because it has reduced my headaches from getting from point A to B and if I get off track it puts back on track by itself. It advises of traffic delays and no worries about media overage costs. The easy menu is packed with different venues, so you can easily access and find stores, restaurants, sports venues, schools, hospitals, etc.. This was a great investment.

love this GPS. Gets me where I want to go with ease and does not at this time turn me in circles all the time as m previous one did

good value for money with the addiotnal card for use in ua and europe especially when compared to cost of hiring a navigation system through a car rental company

I have an older NUVI as well. Love the lifetime traffic and updates included!! Touchscreen works well, very user friendly.

Go it and used it right away. Was very easy. Tells you when there are up dates. That is really nice. I would buy this brand again.

This is an excellent GPS device. I like all the available features provided by GARMIN. It is an expensive GPS but worth buying.

Love the ease of using this gps. Very accurate and love the feature that tells you which lane to be in for a turn or exit.

I bought this unit since we travel a lot during the winter for hockey games and tournaments. It is great to get off the plane in San Diego or Las Vegas and within a couple of minutes have the GPS ready to go and find our hotel or ice arena and be on our way. It is also a lot cheaper than paying extra everytime we rent a car.

Garmin is a new product for me. I changed from Magellan to Garmin this Christmas. I first purchased the Nuvi 85 and did not like it at all. It did not shoe the road being traveled, only the road coming up. In my line of work knowing the road you are currently on is very important. After a little more research and emailing Garmin I chose the 2557. It has every feature I need and more.

This is an awesome gps device as I use it almost everytime to drive all across the state for business and it always takes me to the right place and by the time it has stated. What's great is that it comes with lifetime map and traffic updates which means you won't have to buy a new one all the time to keep up with current roads. Great buy and traffic updates are a life saver!

I used to own a Tom Tom.. but now with the German, I will never use anything else! Great product and easy to use!!

Great item for the price. Bought for trip of several days of driving. Only issue is that some locations such as restaurants are not up to date, even after massive software update. Addresses and such are 100% accurate.

A great help in city traffic! Very nice to have in during commute times. It does keep track of new traffic information, but doesn't always update the route as quickly as I would like. It does much better as calculating actual travel times, but still can't quite account for all of the delays caused by traffic signals. On a typical commute, it takes about 10-15 minutes longer than the GPS calculcates. With my old, non-traffic GPS, it would take about 25-30 minutes longer.

WE USE THIS WEEKLY FOR GARAGE SALES AND OTHER PLACES, YOU DON'T HAVE TO KNOW THE CITY JUST THE ADDRESS AND IT FINDS THE CITY, GREAT NEW PRODUCT, LIKE THE LARGER SIZE SCREEN, EASIER TO TOUCH THE LETTERS. PLAN TO MAP OUT A TRIP TO ALASKA THIS SUMMER, SHOULD WORK REALLY GOOD.
