GPS is very easy to use. Gives precise directions and love the split screen that shows you the correct lane and exit to take.

Clean, easy-to-use device with some nice upgrades over older models (blue tooth, voice commands, current street). Major improvements to search feature. Simply type a few letters and the device will provide its top 5 guesses within nearby states. Only complaint that it sometimes re-routes you based upon perceived traffic. The concept is fine, it just sometimes tells you get off a major highway a little too soon,

This GPS is fantastic. It is easy to use, has a clear display and seems accurate.

The GPS is good at discerning where I want to go based on my input. I am used to a Magellan, so I'm still adjusting to the differences. I really liked Magellan's option of choosing which type of route I wanted each time and the way it showed/told me I had arrived at the first destination and allowed me to choose if I wanted the next one started. The Garmin just automatically starts the next set of directions. That said, I do like the size and layout of the Garmin and find it easy to use and follow.

Recently took my new nuvi 2589LMT on a 1300 mile round trip and it performed wonderfully. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that there was an extra charge for the live trafic updates (this is not clear on the packaging) using the accompanying smartphone app. It's a one-time purchase and not too expensive, so not a big deal.

Boots up and searches VERY fast, announces name of intersection to turn at and is loaded with lots of data. It also shows the distance and a countdown timer to the actual turn. It replaced my old Nuvi 205 which was having "issues". In the split screen mode, the map doesn't display the posted speed limit which is minor. The only thing I would like to see on it is a shortcut button to GPS coordinates of where I am in real time. It could use more than a couple of hours of battery time.

Bought the Garmin 2589lmt as a birthday present for a trip that my wife and I were taking to visit lighthouses in Wisconsin. I loaded all of the lighthouses as "Saved" locations and began the trip after we landed in Milwaukee. This was the best trip that we have had in our visiting lighthouses. No wrong turns, unreadable maps or inaccurate directions from guides. We were presently surprised how easy it was to get to 26 light in the 2.5 days that we were there.

Very easy to set up and use right away. Love how it gives you detailed information including exactly which lanes to be in on the highway. The real time traffic is very helpful as well. Got one for each of my kids so they wouldn't have to be looking at their phones for directions.

Couldn't decide between this one and the next two cheaper ones. I'm so glad I decided to pay the extra money. The graphics are better and the ability to use voice commands make it safer. I would have given it 5 stars except sometimes doesn't recognize the voice commands. The voice driven menu makes it easy to use. I have always preferred garmin to the other brands.

I bought this new unit to replace an older Garmin. This is one of the best GPS's out hands down. The touchscreen is very responsive and accurate. The voice command works well ,don't use it much but it does work great. The screen is easy to read and the resolution is awesome for a unit in this price range. Free map updates for life , Sold

Great GPS and features that allows quick look ups for names only. I bought this for my husband who had a older model (bulkier) Garmin and he absolutely loves it! It was a great fathers day gift. I have a GPS installed in my Car and I actually prefer the Garmin than the brand that Acura uses. I am considering buying one for myself.

This is the second Garmin of this model that we have purchased. My husband has 2 work trucks, and had purchased one of these in April. He liked it enough to buy a second one for his other truck. He really likes that he can put in coordinates for remote work locations that you can't always get a cell phone navigation to find.

Got this to replace my nuvi 265(still working though it needs a new battery). Traffic seems to work better. Found new construction detour properly. Voice command works average. Better screen than old model. Exit display. Overall another good Garmin product.

Got this Gps for my roommate who needed one. The traffic updates is a bonus and a time saver. Being able to tell the Gps what I'm looking for makes searching time a sinch. The Bluetooth allows you to tell the gps to call anyone from your phone contacts without touching your phone or gps. This is a must for drivers.

Had a different brand before this, for roughly the same price. I could barely see the screen during the day, and there was no voice recognition. I had a hard time seeing the screen when it actually became sunny. I have not had any issues with screen clarity and the voice recognition works nice with hands free operation. My vehicle is my office, and those 2 things alone have made driving easier for me.

Very cool and easy to use and understand. I really like the Bluetooth capability.
