Better than the 6 inch for Bluetooth clarity but still lacks a little in sound. Seems to be hit or miss most days. Prefer the larger screen on the 6 inch but this 5 inch is less obtrusive. Directions are clear and accurate. Really wish I did not have to adjust volume up when using Bluetooth to talk on my phone and then down again for GPS.

Purchased for my wife as an updated GPS from the one she had.. She is very happy with the easy use of the 2589 including the voice commands! Far better than the the phone option as it is dedicated to the gps function and really works great.

Gave Garmin a try using their 2589LMT GPS. So far the item has worked very well and is reliable and easy to use. One feature that is handy is the Voice control, allowing you to say a command such as find a place when on the go. The GPS then will re-route you to your new destination without having to stop. Overall a great purchase!

The GPS is easy to use, and provides a wealth of information to help locate places of interest. The screen is easy to read, and there is no longer an annoying "recalculating" voice message when the GPS has to recalculate a route after a missed turn or exit. Overall, it's worth the price.

This GPS is nice. We needed to get a new GPS unit after our old Garmin GPS got wrecked in a car accident. We love the real-time traffic feature when you are near large cities. You do have to watch how you have the GPS angled when the sun is out. There is a glare at times and makes it hard to see with sunglasses on. Once finding the right location in the car, it works wonderfully.

Excellent unit, just not all the traffic info I was hoping for, just major freeways, etc. I probably expected too much since my other car has Sirius traffic subscription. Screen is very clear, like an iPad. Best Buy let me replace the first unit I bought with this one with no hassles, despite being slightly over 30 days. The other one had a bad battery, this one works great.

This (2589) GPS is a great unit. I have had 4 previous Garmin's and am happy with all of them. This one has the best display but is highly reflective, as it uses a cell phone like glass surface. That said, you have to align it in your vehicle such that the reflections of the background are minimized. If you can live with that, you will be really happy with this unit. The voice recognition works well with your saved places and the GPS commands, but not so well with addresses. The navigation is good, and when you go past your turn, the unit immediately shows the next possible route. Sometimes the software doesn't look far enough ahead for a better route, but I doubt any other brand behaves differently. I am very satisfied with this unit.

Took a little getting used to after having another brand for years, but simple to use and easy to keep updated. Live traffic is great in areas that provide it! PA doesn't seem to, but when I go out of state as much as I do, it's a necessity since I'm not familiar with the area.

We previously had a Garmin. When it stopped working, we bought a Tom Tom because it was cheaper. We tried it out, didn't like it and returned it. We then bought this Garmin. It is a system that we are familiar with and one that works well. For the most part, we are happy with this GPS.

I have had several GPS units and this is the best yet. Voice commands are not perfect but are very good. GPS directions include landmarks, lane guidance, end of road and mileage. Locks onto satelitte signals quickly and reroutes fast. The data base for POIs has been greatly expanded. Name call outs are loud and understandable. Display is clear and can be expanded just like a smart phone display.

I really like my 2589. Love the voice command feature and the notifications where to turn by using actual building names. Only problem came is when I imported my saved destinations from my old Garmin into the new one. It took each destination and made multiple entries for each one. Took a little time to delete all the duplicates, but not a big hassle.

Just bought a new Land Rover without a navigation system. After reviewing many sites I chose Garmin and had it installed by GEEK SQUAD1 It looks and works great my Landrover dealer said it looked like it was made for my car! Thank you Best Buy & Geek Squad1
