Excellent GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent GPS, first that i have use and it is great. Already tested in the USA and MEX, just needs a couple updates on USA's restaurants. Bluetooth feature can be better, sames as device's speaker.

Nice.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this unit. Use interface is intuitive and easy to use. I really like the magnetic dock connector -- it enables you to stow it when leaving the car without messing around with the power cable and mount. I've had a few unusual things happen when navigating. Once it led me to the back alley of an address I entered. Hopefully this with will I prove with future map updates...

Good but not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall is Good, but the HD traffic sometimes has delay; another problem is The fastest route calculation is not always The fastest, it doesn't consider The secondary road in many cases. The estimated time in city drive condition is off because The traffic light waiting time is not taking into consideration.

Great Garmin
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old GPS gave up the ghost in the middle of a long trip. The Garmin Nuvi 3597 took its place and is great. It got me all over the midwest through lots of large cities with no problem. I didn't have time to read the manual - but it got me where I was going easily. This is my first Garmin and I am now a real fan. In spite of the cost, you will love this GPS. It is fast, accurate, and has lots of POIs making it easy to get my morning Starbucks! Great lane assist too. My only complaint is that 5-incher could be a bit larger. My in-car GPS is easier to see - but not as accurate.

BIg step up from previous Nuvi 660.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this unit because my old Nuvi 660 didn't have enough memory to hold newer map updates or additional maps. So far very happy with the 3597 but am still learning to use some of the new features. Really like the larger screen and improved on screen and audio and navigation prompts. Non-pivoting suction cup mount limits ability to position device optimally but the pivoting one from my 660 seems to work just fine and is still available to order separately if you find non-pivoting one is a problem.

Sophisticated GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my Nuvi 760 which finally couldn't keep up with the map updates after 6 years. This is a great although pricey upgrade. The larger display makes a big difference and using the old school method of typing address works fine. Maybe it's my New England accent but trying to use voice commands to load directions still leaves a bit to be desired. I have not used some of the other functionality such as Bluetooth yet but I'm glad it's available when I'm ready for it. I have not seen any traffic alerts yet to make a determination how that works.

Excellent product, great styling, easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very convenient to use with the magnetic mount. Clear concise directions. Glare not a problem. A little slow to recalculate, some times takes about a block at 30 mph to regain route. Voice recognition works well. Used in large US cities. Very disappointed in lifetime traffic reports. Appears only to show traffic on Interstate highways with no secondary road reports even with aux antenna.. Unit is very stylish and easy to handle. Overall, very satisfied. Would have given 5 stars if traffic reporting included secondary roads. Understand this unit has been discontinued due to parts shortage. I would still recommend buying the 3597 if stock could be found.

Hard to beat!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Garmin was purchased for business use and my office loves it. It is touch responsive like a smart phone and operates much in the same way. The lifetime maps means we are never without an update and we've had no issues with it.

Worth every penny
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this GPS. Have had several Garmin's in the past, and nothing comes close to this one. The magnetic backing makes it quick and easy put up and down. The screen resolution is very clear, and the pinch screen tops it all off.

Great GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclaimer: This review is my opinion and how I use the GPS, Please read all reviews Positive and Negative, before making a decision. Please do not make a decision about the Garmin 3597LMTHD by review only. Review: I gave this GPS a 4 stars instead of 5 stars, because, it is only for automotive use , it does not have the bicycle and pedestrian feature. I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 that I bought in 2005 and it is the greatest investment that I have ever made. The Nuvi 350 has the Automotive, Bicycle, Pedestrian, MP3 Player and you can also read a Book features all in one GPS. The Nuvi 350 in its day was very versatile and it is great or riding my bicycle and also walking. The 3597 LMTHD on the other hand is for automotive use only. Features: The 3D pictures of the street and buildings and the highway exit ramp look great and real life . The screen image is in HD and it is very sharp and crystal clear. The 3597 LMTHD has lifetime maps and traffic updates. The 3597 LMTHD is the top of the line GPS and I was informed by Garmin that it has a lot of bells and whistles. I have not tried all of the features yet, so I cannot comment on the other features. I bought this GPS at Best Buy for reward points and I was able to get a price match with Amazon. Since the Nuvi 350 this is the second GPS from Garmin and I love Garmin GPS's. One of the reasons why I like Garmin is their Tech Support is very helpful, knowledgeable and professional of their products. If you are not concerned about Bicycle and Pedestrian Features, then the Garmin 3597 LMTHD in would be a 5 star GPS

Great GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love how big and clear the screen is. I've never had a GPS with traffic before and love how it'll recommend alternative routes if it see's there is a traffic jam ahead.

Great GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great, robust product. The hands free iPhone sync is a great option especially now that Chicago is hands-free or a ticket effective January 2014. Love the live traffic updates. Wish they had a scroll menu for finding things on the opening page vs having to dig deeper in other categories on the side bar. Sleek design, attractive and functional devices is what we consumers have come to expect.

Nice features - but a little late on cues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice graphics and features. Like that is showes upcoming gas stations and places to eat. Indicates when traffic is slow. It also has a nice search feature and if you put in the address, it can find the location and you don't need to put in city and state. It seems to be a little slow to pick up the satellite and compared to my old garmin and the cues seem to be a shade late. For example, you are almost at a light, it will tell you to turn right when you are basically on top of the light. Also, on my old Garmin when you missed a route or purposely changed it, the old one would cue you by saying "recalculating", under this one, it is silent and can be a little confusing if you are not in a position to see the screen, but are listening to the cues.

Colors and weight
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even do my Garmin was stolen after seven days of purchasing it. I liked the fact that it had vivid colors and it didn't weight much. The only improvement they could make is when presenting road options that on can choose back streets or have more road options. Everything else was great. Price was good on it as well. I wish I still owned it.

Best GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This GPS is easy to set up. The voice and maps are clear. The real time traffic works great and is a terrific feature that less expensive models do not have. Highly recommend.

Great, easy to use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This GPS has a huge screen. It threw me off he first Tim I used it. After the first use, I started to prefer the bigger screen. The lane assist feature is nice because you have a better idea of where to be, especially on highways. However, it can be tricky when you are in areas where multiple highways come together. It's a rather small complaint for a really good GPS!
