I got this product to replace a prior model which, unfortunately, was stolen. I'm familiar with Garmin and this latest model meets all of my expectations. Directions are accurate which is really all that I need.

Used this on a recent trip and it worked great. Easy to use and lets you keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.

After just 3 -4 times usage, the GPS couldn't start and turn off, that happened a couple of times, BestBuy Exchanged one for me as the manufacturer guaranteed. This scared me a lot so I had to buy 3 years' warranty w/ BestBuy. Hope this won't happen again. The 2nd one,one day after I pulled it away from the charger, it couldn't automatically turn off, I really doubt the quality from the manufacturer,this is the only issue so far, for other functions are all fine. Just sincerely hope this won't happen to anyone. Anyway this might be the best one in the market, if there wasn't any quality problem, I really think this GPS is good, so just bought another one for my friend, hope this won't happen to my friend again.

This is my 2nd Garmin and all the new features are very nice! Easy to operate and a confident feeling whenever I leave that house that I will always get to my destination.

The GPS is easy and Intuitive to use, fast in processing and recalculating routes. Good visual and upgrade in map view.

I travel a lot and it's easy to download European maps to this unit. When I get the rental car in London, I place the GPS on the dash, enter my destination and I'm in Swindon in no time at all. The maps updates are accurate with all of the destinations that I need.

I just returned from a 4000 mile road trip. It worked flawlessly right out-of-the-box. It is a Great road trip traveling companion! The lane position indicator was really helpful navigating freeways in strange cities. I do recommend this product for anyone considering a GPS.

Really nice GPS system. Being able to speak and get Direction. The 3-D road is awesome to be able to see We're to turn and find buildings. Would recommend to Others.

This is a great GPS. Great graphics and love the magnetic connection. Only drawback so far is voice commands are sometimes are not understood, but it's a very minor problem. Definitely recommend!

Got this GPS as my older one was getting too slow and losing satellites. First thing I did was hook my 2 cellphones (an iPhone and android) up to the gps via Bluetooth. Then I entered my destination speedily. After about 20 miles my GPS started timing lol.bluetooth I always thought was useless but I really enjoy it now! Maps are solid and include the high numbered gravel roads in Iowa, Wisconsin and Nebraska. All round fastest and best Garmin ever. Thanks again Best Buy!

I am very pleased with this new Garmin. It easily fit the accessories that I had bought for my original Garmin. The blu tooth was a snap to set up. Around my town I mainly use the GPS to give me hands free driving with my cell phone. Works great. I am looking forward to my next trip where I can take advantage of the true GPS functions. I like that it displays, places to get gas, food and money.

I so far I have used my new Garmin many times for different reasons. ....I absolutely love this garmin....it is even more than I expected. I use it not only for directions, but to get mileage, arrival times, place locations like gas stations, eateries, hotels. The no glare lense is great during the day time and at night it is easily seen without blinding you....I also like that the volume control is easy to get to....did I say I love my new garmin??????

Whether you are navigating or wanting to make a phone call, this is an excellent hands free device. Although a little expensive, it provides me with a way to keep my focus on driving and other divided attention tasks while in my patrol car. The voice recognition doesn't always get it right the first time but it does a better job than other voice recognition devices that I have used in the past. Overall, I am extremely happy with this GPS and Garmin's mapping.

Overall, I've been very pleased with the Garmin nuvi 3597. It replaced a much older Garmin nuvi that died while on a trip. The voice activation, touch screen keyboard, and Saved/Favorites features were easy to figure out and work well. I also like the very secure magnetic connection with suction cup mount. The power button is on the back, preventing accidentally turning the unit off when adjusting it as with other units. Cons - A couple of mostly cosmetic features were dropped from the 2012 model to the 2013 model I bought, but the 2013 model. The unit also has developed a slight "hiccup" sometimes when she speaks. Also, I wish the unit had more options for turning on and off layers - sometimes it shows too many icons for gas stations, restaurants, ATMS, etc. and the map gets too cluttered; other times it would be nice to have features, like bodies of water/rivers/lakes or parks/forests named. Also, other nav systems allow me to display just the things I want/need to see (coffee shops and gas stations) and turn off the ones I don't...this one doesn't or I haven't figured it out yet. Also, although it seems to charge well using the cigarette lighter, I've decided I will probably need to get an AC/DC charger so I can charge the unit up overnight in my hotel room. Pros - The graphics, especially when it goes split-screen to show which lane to be in is fantastic. I also like the fact that it shows both the exit number and the name in the top banner, so there's little guesswork in metropolitan areas. I also really like the speed limit and current speed feature. This is helpful since my car's brand is notorious for a speedometer that runs a few miles off actual speed. And, although the unit does show an arrow indicating the direction the car is traveling, I'd like to see it displayed with an N, S, E, W, etc.

I love the talk to features when rerouting and traffic jams. It's actually saved me a ton of time! However the customer service is quick to dismiss you and never helped me with the SD issues. Love the GPS not so much with service.

Enjoying this GPS device which replaced my Garmin nuvi 1690 model without skipping a beat for my travel needs. So far so good during my brief time with this device but am confident this device will live up to the challenge as always.

I love my GPS device. It gets me to each location in record time and tells me when traffic is flowing smoothly and when there are backups.

I currently own 5 other Garmin GPS devices, 2 handheld units, the Oregon 450 and 76CSX and 3 auto units, the nuvi 1490, nuvi 3760 and the nuvi 3597. So far the 3597 is by far the best of the bunch. It has all the features you could possibly ask for, it's very accurate and the screen is super sharp! The intersection view is an actual picture of what's ahead, not an animated representation, so you actually see exactly what's coming up. The only thing I would like to see is the same unit with a little larger screen, something like 6 or 7 inches.
