I really like my new gps, it performs wonderfully well getting me from point a to b. Also was helpful in locating camping locations when my planned location fell through. The GPS notifies what is ahead, e.g. rest areas, gas stations, restaurants, er cetera.

Definitely worth every penny to have peace of mind that we are on an RV friendly route and not have to rely on cell service. Easy user interface and easy to update.

I believe this is the best GPS I have ever used, especially when pulling an RV. The screen is nice and large and the voice commands work great. Also connects great to the app as well. No issues ever.

Great addition to our RV essentials. It's nice to know that we won't be steered into an embarrassing situation when driving our RV. Gives us better peace of mind than using other Nav's that aren't RV specific. Better to be safe than sorry.

This gps is simply a must have for Rv and travel trailer routes. Easy to set up and use. Large beautiful display makes it easy to follow while driving.

The set up was very easy. So far it has worked flawlessly. I did question some of the roads it took us on. Haven’t tried it on the Highway yet with our camper attached.

Large screen and text. Easy to navigate. Fits with my motorhome. Easy to configure.

Haven't traveled with it yet but it seems pretty good by just setting a route from home. For some reason it wouldn't update the maps using my wifi. I then got excellent tech support from Garmin to update from my computer. I needed a small single adapter that converted the Garmin usb ( large end ) to usb C because my computer only has the small symmetrical usb C ports. It wouldn't work using my multi style port adapter with a six inch cord. I hope Garmin will start making their units charging ports with the newer style small symmetrical style male plug. I also think for the money they should at least include a nice padded zipper style case for just the screen and a nice hinged hardshell case for holding everything that comes in the original cardboard box it's sold in. Can't wait to haul my travel trailer using this now

Great for portability and pre-planning my RV trips!

I bought this as a brand new RV owner, and it worked out amazing. Its notifications were spot on for sharp corners and steep uphills, and downhill warnings. I highly recommend this unit for any RV owner

As a long time satisfied Garmin GPS user, I am disappointed in the RV 890 user interface. The RV 890 appears to be a Android tablet running Garmin software. The usual "Voice Command" doesn't work.....now you say "Hey Garmin". OK not a big change, but I wasn't expecting it. Many of the other phrase have changed or disappeared as well. When you search for something, say a store name like Dave's Groceries, You get multiple Dave's locations, If you are driving, it is distracting to go through the list looking for the right one. I've also gotten2-3 totally wrong directions from the RV 890. These are all software issues IMO, and I hope Garmin came remedy some or all of them. The screen if very nice.

As the other reveiws state, this is a tablet running a bunch of Garmin apps. The primary app, the Garmin GPS is very good, fast, and crisp looking on this display. There are configurations that make it pertinent to RV'ers - such as profiles for your rig, or rigs, that are taken into account when route planning (height restrictions, switchback roads...). Link your phone running the Garmin Drive app, and receive traffic warnings and other real-time updates. Leave it on in your driveway, and it'll connect to Garmin over wifi for map and application updates - which thus far, have been pretty quick to download and install. I've used it on a couple trips now, and I like the larger display, the more pleasant default voice, the speed of calculations, and the "upcoming destinations" that pop up like virtual road signs as you make progress in your trip. When a destination pops up, the amenities available also are displayed (food, fuel...). There are still numerous features that I haven't explored like the RV camping database, and some of the more obscure apps. Coming from a 12 year old NUVI GPS (that still is working in another vehicle), I miss the "At the pump" toolbox app, which helps track fuel consumption, and I haven't found an equivalent here. Another thing I don't like is that it doesn't shut down when power is removed - you have to shut it down manually. It does turn on when power is restored though. The mount is sturdy, and it uses a magnet to attach, which makes it easy to take off and hide if you don't want to leave it on the mount.

So far it is working well. It does do a few weird things sometimes, like it’ll show that a destination is farther up the road than it is and then I’ll miss a turn. Not usually a big deal but I have a 60ft rig so it can be tricky. I do like quite a few of the other features though.

This is a great upgrade from a outdated TomTom we had, the screen size should be great for quick viewing. Set up was easy and we will be using this very soon.

Have used our new Garmin on a couple of trips so far. There is a lot of information and still learning the ins and outs of the GPS. So far I am impressed.
