Initially Worked on IPhone 7

It loses connection from time to time when it was working on IPhone 7. I like it but It’s hard to get a support from Garmin. The Geeks don’t know it either. I would recommend it for IPhone 7 users. I like the gps I don’t have to wear my reading glasses.

The Bluetooth would disconnect for no reason. I would have a tough time connecting, saying to open the Garem app on my iPhone, when I had it open already. I like the idea of having an Echo in my car, but it is not worth the headache right now.

Since version 2.70, there is absolutely no overheating issue with this dash cam. I live in FL where parked cars get very hot, and I haven't had any heat issues. I updated the firmware in Garmin Connect prior to installing the camera, and it has worked flawlessly ever since. The controls are easy to use, it has several helpful features, and best of all, the camera is very small so it doesn't get in the way while you're looking out of your windshield. Video quality is excellent, and wireless connection with the Garmin VIRB app works well.

But overall the device only worked some of the time and Alexa didn’t connect to my device. And only sometimes would work with asking for directions.

The base is magnetic, so it makes easy to remove if you want to. Like the home version it has it's issues, but it works well enough the good things about it are better than the issues.

About a day later it stopped connecting to my iPhone. I did everything, restarted, uninstall and reinstall the app. Nothing worked, so I returned it.

If i was Amazon I would make Garmin take my name off this product. I have gotten to get this to work once, after that it just shines blue and never responds, or tells me bad data signal while my phone has five bars. Unless you want something that is worthless, Stay away.

Amazing Concept. But returned.

After using it for about two weeks I ended up returning it. I have and echo dot that I use every day in my house to set my alarm, turn on and off the lights, read my news, etc. but the car version constantly lagged and would not easily connect to my audio via Bluetooth. No Spotify support was a big negative for me as well and the turn by turn direction audio queues for the Garmin were difficult to master.
