The device is very slow and does not work well. Concept is great but the Speak kept listening and would not return the result I wanted. I hope software updates will improve this.

For the directions via Garman part, it's ok, wish you could choose alternate routes, but having Alexa in the car is awesome, everything you can do at home you can do in the car, love it!

This device does a software update about every 12 hours it seems... I have to unplug it and plug it back in frequently to get it to reconnect to my phone and car stereo.

I enjoy using alexa, and garmin combined. The one thing i don't like, is that the 'wake phrases' are difficult to remember for garmin to repeat directions.

It is a great little device to have. It links to your phone for data but nonetheless is just as fun as it is at home.

Love the Alexa GPS. And love being able to change my music when I want while she guides me to my location.

Way better than a big screen in your car. I really enjoy streaming music through it with voice commands.

We use this primarily for vacations and it works great. We can access podcasts and music. Great addition.

This is more of a cool product than a must have necessity. If you rely heavily on GPS use, I would highly suggest looking at another product. The Amazon Alexa integration is a great idea, but it misses on the GPS end. It's more of an Alexa device for your car, so if that is what you're looking for, this is definitely it. Pros: Small Bluetooth and AUX (through phone) Music integration Full Alexa integration Cons: Small Screen No battery Adhesive mounting Requires app/skill It must first be noted that this device does not employ a traditional GPS format that shows details of the road your are on along with path markings. You only see the distance to the next turn/merge/exit etc. Voice functions are your number one source of turn-by-turn directions with the screen being more of a secondary guide. It is more similar to a heads up display many cars supplement navigation systems with. You are required to use the Garmin app and add the skill to Amazon Alexa, whether or not you have an echo or related Alexa device. You can speak directly to the device to perform many common Alexa commands such as choosing music, movie times, nearest coffee shop, weather and much more. I was able to easily location nearby gas stations and coffee shops along with hours. A big downside is the inability to begin navigation to a specific address without the app. You have to open the app manually and enter the specific address. This is no different than using typical apps on your phone, but a huge miss in terms of voice functionality. You can link your phone to AUX or bluetooth to receive audio through your car's speakers. This includes calling functionality as well, which is nice so you may stay hands free. Overall, I don't think this has the best utility for car-use, especially for GPS. If you live in a large city or when driving through confusing new areas, lack of a full screen could be a real hassle. In addition, this device has NO battery! Very disappointing, since this means you will always be dependent on the plug. They do include a nice long cord, fortunately. It's still a good product since it incorporates Alexa flawlessly with only a few issues.

Returned I dont feel it was worth the money it worked it just wasnt the best Garmin's I have used.

this is a nice new tool to entertainment in my car. still learning the best way to use. so far so good. easy to make work

For older cars this is great. I not only get GPS I get Alexa and it also operates as my hands free. Great buy.

This product did not stay connected to my phone every use. I feel it was not helpful at all.

I find Alexa fun to use at home, and with this device you'll have her in your car also, she'll handle the same requests she does at your home, plus guide you with turn by turn directions wherever you want to go. Having said that, I'm conflicted. I've been a Garmin GPS user for decades. The newer units are amazing with big screens and REALLY clear directions, "Turn right after the McDonalds." etc. The Garmin Speak isn't that smart. I also found a few times where my GPS directed me with a smarter route than did the "Speak." I would not want to trade my new Garmin GPS for this. We're all different however. If you use Alexa for many different functions this is a five star device and you'll love having it in your car. If not, as far as using this just for directions, I'd give it three stars, hence my four star review. The Speak was easy to connect to my smart phone, the Garmin Speak App gives you clear easy to follow directions to get everything up and running. The Speak has no battery so it must be continually connected to your 12v power outlet.

It has alot od potential but is far from very useful.

This does not work with sprint on an iPhone. Only comes up with bad data connection. Also the app gets to a point where it wants you to login to amazon and loads the amazon app but goes no further than that. It’s a nice idea but not with the current speed of cellular data.

Good GPS, the voice control is hard to use but if you type in location it works great.

Item works great. It just needs a window mount. U have to place item in cup holder
