Avoid. I took a gamble on buying a newer release model before the bugs were worked out. It's got bugs. Major ones. I'm not a tech guy or a 'cammer'. I just want it to be there if something happens. It happened this morning, and this hunk of worthless plastic was frozen. Not obviously frozen...the red light was on, the unit was slightly warm to the touch, but when I had to stand on the brakes and jerk the car left to avoid an accident...nothing. So I gave it the voice command 'ok garmin' to at least manually save the video, nothing. When I got to work, I tried to connect the drive app. Nothing. Turn off your wifi to re-establish connection, nothing. turn off your blue tooth to re-establish connection, nothing. Those were the commands in the app. I kept the instructions from the box (worthless) and checked them. Nothing. So of course, the app directed me to execute the dreaded power down, the final course of action, which I did, and it saved exactly NOTHING. Unit is taking commands again like it is supposed to, but, when will it freeze again? Do I really have to F with this thing daily to trust it. Nah, I'll pass. Ok Garmin, delete your existence in my car. I payed more for a brand name because I trusted this would be a decent product. It's not.

This dashcam literally listen to you. Voice commands do help to record those unexpected events such as road rage, people total disregard for traffic laws, etc. Good quality. I recommend this Garmin dashcam. It is tiny but it delivers.

Definitely worth the money to have both front and rear camera not only can it prove you had your seatbelt on during a crash it will catch someone hitting you in the side... my first purchase of one of these was 4 years ago.

Good value. Very good features. Best Buy Auto Install dept installed the item in a very professional manner. The Install dept was on time and the install took the time estimated.

Expected a bit more functionality for the price. It is pretty simple to set up, but should have a park mode.

I recommend this for anyone who has a car and it's ever gone to an accident I was involved in a hit-and-run and did not have the capability of pursuing litigation because I had no camera.

Has been very useful to me in handling disputes where there was a video record it stopped the issue quick. I would definitely recommend this unit.

We were looking for something for a good rear camera and were so disappointed that we returned this unit in the allowed time. It said it was compatible with our truck when we ordered it, but the rear camera was totally useless when showing if a vehicle would have rear ended us.
