Absolutely love my Virb! Have had several 360 cameras and what you can do with this camera exceeds the rest. 4K video, built in stitching and stabilization (a huge plus), waterproof, ability for Augmented Reality overlays, great app and software, compatible for iOS and Android. You also have the option for manual setting and shooting video in raw mode. You can choose one lens or both as well as front or rear audio. Be aware that at this time you will have to use an additional stitching program for the 5.7 raw video, rumor has it that Garmin will provide support in the near future. Recommend extra batteries for this one. Battery life is only an hour max.

Strong and rigid design, good for many tough situations I believe. However, the app responsive time is a problem and the edge transition on two camera images can be improved.

I was expecting more for the price I paid for this. Video resolution is quite poor. Nowhere near the 4k resolution Garmin claims. Video is fuzzy, stabilization is poor even after processing with the provided software. Wish I never purchased this.

This camera claims to be waterproof to 10 meters without a case. Best Buy has that listed on their web site and after 39 mins in the pool it with it just splashing around in 3 feet of water it just goes down. After speaking with a member at Best Buy I lost all my money and now I have lost over 800 dollars.

So I expected a lot more from this camera for the price and was quickly disappointed. I'm not going to get into a lengthy review but it suffers across the board a little in each area that for the money it should be the best.

Next Gen 360

Many 360° cameras are priced in the four to $500 range. This second gen camera is a lot more expensive. But it is totally worth it. It will stitch 4K video inside the camera, and can live stream that via a Wifi to YouTube or Facebook. It will also record 5.7k video into two files that you must stitch in the program on a desktop computer. The 5.7k images are stunning. Being a Garmin it can overlay GPS information and other sensor data onto image in realtime. It will show you MPH, GPS, G-force and other sensor data including heartbeat monitors from wrist mounted devices connected through Bluetooth.
It comes with two different amounts that clip onto the bottom of the camera. One is for a traditional tripod mount and the second is for a go pro mount system.
I bought this because we bought a HTC Vive VR glasses and having the Virb 360 allows us to fully re-live our videos.
