Great features, look and price. I switched from Apple and my Garmin’s battery is MUCH longer. Not even comparable.

So I’ve had this watch for a year next week and wanted to give my feedback. Overall im not upset that i switched from an applewatch, but i think i wish i had chosen something other than this. The metrics are fine but nothing over the top for sure. Its in line for my weightlifting sessions to my applewatch but the GPS is just awful. Idk how a Garmin has such a bad GPS. My wife has another series Garmin that is WAY better for the GPS across all activities. I walked on the treadmill for a mile this morning and it picked up .07 of it and that is right about normal for treadmill runs as well! The battery is great, the watch is comfortable, and the step counter works well. Overall not a bad watch, just not one i would buy again.

Battery life and watch band needs improvement

The battery life is not good and the watch band itself needs improvement. it's not bad, but how it sits on your wrist. The fastening clasp looks like it is off to the side of your wrist and you have to charge it once a day. Other than that, it's a good watch.

    Company doesn't back product

Overpriced and not durable for a so-called active watch. The glass breaks too easily and to make matters more annoying Garmin doesn't back their product up. They won't replace the glass and nor can anyone 3rd party company get the parts to repair the watch. It functions completely fine but with the cracked glass it is no longer waterproof. The only option is to trade it in to Garmin for a replacement +$150.00 . I bought this watch new for $170. Garmin lost a customer forever.

Great Christmas gift for the wife. She loves it because it was an upgrade from the fitbit she had. She pays attention to the body battery & the sleep tracker.

What good is a fitness device with inaccurate heart bpm? Perhaps most of the other +++++ reviews are paid? Over the past 10 yrs, this is my 8th and last device from Garmin. A total disappointment with its gross lack of accuracy, hardware failure (within the past 48 hours it froze twice, could only correct it by letting the watch battery drain completely and then recharge it). Software design and options are mediocre, annoying at times and inefficient. To make matters worse, Garmin’s customer service is an even greater disappointment with its gross lack of professionalism, incompetency and no respect for Garmin patrons (durring all my 12 encounters and 7 hours I’ve wasted with them)!

    Returning - battery life plummeted

Accuracy is good. Seems more complex than I'd like to navigate quickly. The 1 star is because after a week or two of easy use the battery life declined to a few hours. Returning it to try a new one. Hope that will take care of it.
