Functions well other than a glitch that happens

Already having issues with screen not responding twice and I’ve only had for a month. Found it’s a common issue with this model. Customer service was pleasant, but no estimated time of when this issue will be resolved. Other than that, it does functions well

I’ve been using the Garmin vívoactive 5 GPS Smartwatch for a while now, and I absolutely love it! It’s super lightweight and comfortable to wear all day, and the black design with the slate aluminum looks really sleek. It feels durable, but it doesn’t look bulky, which I appreciate. The fitness features are what really sold me. I use it for running, biking, and even yoga, and it tracks everything perfectly. The built-in GPS is super accurate, so I don’t need to carry my phone on runs, and it even tracks my heart rate and sleep. I love seeing all the data in the Garmin Connect app—it’s really motivating to watch my progress. The screen is bright and easy to read, even in the sun, and the battery life is amazing. I only need to charge it every 10-11 days, which is a huge plus. I also use Garmin Pay sometimes, which is super convenient, and I like getting notifications from my phone right on my wrist. Overall, this watch has been a game-changer for me. It’s easy to use, has tons of features, and helps me stay on track with my fitness goals. If you’re thinking about getting one, I highly recommend it!

    Bad Material

I may just be allergic to the material, but the watch made my wrist blister and very red and puffy. Besides that, the interface was difficult to get use to, the heart rate and blood oxygen were not accurate or consistent. I used it a few times when working out and that was the only time it did seem to be very useful. The peeling picture is from 5 days after taking it off. Best-buy was very helpful with the refund process and made it very easy

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience, as we take matters like this very seriously. However, it sounds like you were able to return your device with BestBuy. If you choose to come back to Garmin, I'd recommend a watch that uses a Nylon Strap! Garmin

I used to be an apple watch girl and I hated it how little the battery lasted and how it wasn't really tracking my activity. If you are someone who works out, especially runs, this is the watch for you. It has a GPS tracker that shows you where and what you ran. it has different settings for the activates you're doing, ex: Cardio, softball, stair stepper, swimming, strength, bike etc. If you don't see what you want to track specifically you can add the workout to the watch. For Iphone users like myself you can still get messages and notifications, you just can't reply to them, however you can if you have an Samsung or Android i believe. THIS IS WORTH THE SWITCH FORM APPLE! There are more designs depending on your style preference, I choose this one because it was very soft and feminine and goes well with my outfits, and you can always switch out the band if you don't like the silicone(I believe that is the material on the band). And the battery lasts me so long, I lasted 10 days without having the need to charge

    Great Fitness watch

Great — here’s a polished review based on what you shared: ⸻ Garmin Watch Review – A Solid Fitness Companion I’ve been using my Garmin watch primarily for fitness tracking and sleep monitoring, and it’s been a game changer. The interface is intuitive and easy to use, making it simple to start workouts, review stats, and stay consistent with my health goals. One of the standout features for me is the battery life — it lasts days without needing a charge, which is a huge plus compared to other smartwatches I’ve used. The sleep tracking is also surprisingly accurate and detailed, helping me stay on top of my recovery and rest. The only drawback is that it doesn’t integrate directly with the Apple ecosystem, which could be a consideration for iPhone users looking for tighter sync with their other devices. That said, the performance and functionality more than make up for it. If you’re serious about fitness or just want a reliable, no-fuss health tracker, I’d definitely recommend this

Love wearing this watch to keep track of my steps, sleep, and it displays my blood sugar levels from my dexcom g7. I only have to charge it once a week. So lightweight I often forget it’s even there. Bought a screen protector because it does seem fragile and I work with my hands.

Purchased on release day. New to garmin and loving it so far. Everything is perfect the size, weight, design and color easy on the hand. Love the activities. Only downside for me no hiking and altimeter. But all new features are great like stress tracking, hrv, nap, and body battery.

The display is bright and clear, making it easy to read even outdoors. I really appreciate the variety of tracking features—heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, stress management, and built-in GPS. It's lightweight and comfortable to wear all day, which is great since I tend to wear it during both workouts and everyday activities.

The Garmin Vivoactive 5 delivers exactly what you're looking for: simplicity and strong health features. It's easy to use, offers in-depth tracking across stress, sleep, energy, and workouts, and keeps going for about a week without charging. For everyday wellness and versatile sport tracking, it's a great match. Just be aware that if you need altimeter-based metrics or a very rugged, premium feel, higher-tier Garmin models could be better.

The battery life is great. I charge usually once a week. The watch is very light weight. I love that I can review my sleep, heart rate, the weather, my steps, text messages and emails. It has tons of face options to choose from. The price compared to other watches that do the same thing is fantastic. Highly recommend!

I love my Garmin Vivoactive 5! The bright screen makes it easy to read anywhere, and it keeps track of everything from my workouts to my sleep. The battery lasts for days, and it’s so comfortable I forget I’m wearing it. It’s perfect for staying active and feeling motivated every day

I know I'm writing a review after this watch was released 2+ years ago, but I figure I have some good comparison to my 2+ year old Apple watch. Grabbed this watch on sale because of the price since I moved over to Android. I think for around the same price point as the Apple SE watch, Apple has a step up. First the good, I'll say this thing has amazing battery life compared to the Apple watch. Its refreshing not to have to charge my watch every 1.5 days. I'm not a huge athlete or anything, but I do like to monitor my health and workouts, and this does a pretty good at that. I haven't gotten deep into customizations and personal setups, I'm still on the default face until I get more comfortable with the watch. I have Youtube music synced with the watch so its real nice to go on runs without my phone. I like the morning notifications, body battery, weather, and sleep review when I wake up. Things I'm not a big fan of, isn't not very intuitive, at least for a person new to Garmin. The screen sometimes does not turn on when I tap it, or when I turn my wrist to look at the time. Also, during a workout, its not easy to switch music, look at time, and my progress. Seems like I have to jump around to different 'pages' to get that information, which is not fun to do while running. Again, I'm new to this so there might be better faces/apps that help out with this. I think its a good watch for the price, and offers more privacy than an Apple or Google watch. It wasn't worth more to spend the extra $100 on the Vivoactive 6 from the reviews I read since there didn't seem to be any major upgrades. It was hard picking a Garmin watch since there are so many, but I think the Vivoactive fits me well for the value.

This is my first Garmin watch after owning an Apple Watch for a few years and the trade worked wonderfully for me. Garmin’s battery life is much better, and this particular vivoactive model is also thinner, which makes sleeping with it much more comfortable. This is a great entry model for those who are fed up with Apple Watch’s constant recharging!

I bought it to track heart activity, oxygen, sleep patterns/health and to have a vibrating alarm. I use it to achieve zone 2 aerobic activity as well - so, have to touch it and swipe to see it while exercising. Seems to do the things i want and probably things I don’t care so much about. Wish you could zoom in on charts, but not a big deal. Takes some practice and video watching to figure out how to use it. Same for app, not all of it is intuitive. After a week or so starts to be second nature.
