what Garmin said this product does vs what it actually gives. And for that I give it 5-stars because it does everything advertised and does it well.
Sure there are "better" motorcycle navigation options which will cost you much more. Actually much much more. If you are in Garmin's eco system, this would be a nice addition to that. This GPS could be used for navigating your RV and off-road right if you need to use this for multiple vehicles. It is OPTIMIZED for motorcycles and not the other's so bear that in mind while getting excited.
I have the Zumo XT and although the XT2 is 'better', it is only "BETTER" because the screen is bigger, a little brighter (but noticeably), uses USB-c for charging/physical data transferring and does offer limited and saveable telementry data that could then be used with footage recorded on action cameras from the likes of DJi and Insta360 via their app software as well as via Telemetry Overlay. You could contact me on my social media handles from YouTube/Instagram and Snapchat by the name 'Jonasegway' and stick around as I sorta go through this GPS creating videos on different options, features and how to use the telementry data from your XT2 with certain action cameras. This GPS comes with a mount that wraps around your handle bar (hopefully you have some exposed handlebar on your bike (roughly 4-5mm width). This mount with have a ram mount 1" ball at the end in which you would use to mount the 2.5" ram neck mount adapter to and then your Garmin XT2 charging base. Installation is relatively easy. You'll just need to figure out how you want to route two 12guage cables from your dash area to your battery (so look at your bike and figure that out before purchasing).
Bottom line? ... Should you purchase this? Well if you're used to the garmin eco system I would tell you YES with confidence. If you are more of a (Google maps, Waze) interface kind of person then this isn't for you. You might want to explore other options. This Garmin Zumo XT2 has known motorcycle routes, allows you to find routes that other Garmin users have ridden and saved to the Garmin's eco system....find coming spots (organized and dispersed), shows you information like grid coordinates of locations, phone numbers hours of operation and many more.....
Still not convinced? Get on YouTube and look up some videos ....you may find some of mine... But never be scared to ask questions as I am always ready to help!

Rugged, easily readable in direct sunlight, and better at gps navigation than your cell phone. The mount is not the best and I wish it was anti theft or lockable.

Very happy with the XT2 especially compared to other older models of Garmin and other brands of moto GPSs. Installed on an older adventure bike and paired to my phone and Bluetooth headset (Sena 20s). Do your research online when trying to pair devices. I can see why some have problems - so try not to get frustrated. The brightness is fantastic and the speed is great. I will use the campground finding features and really like the different routing modes - fastest, adventure, etc...
The Tread might be better for those of you looking to do more off road or forest roads as I have read this isn't quite as detailed map wise.
I feel like the XT2 is an upgrade to the XT for those of us doing 70% highways to get to the 30% dirt, off road, trails that we seek out. It's a solid unit and so far after 500 miles and trying all the features out I have no complaints.

Easy to use, 500 mile off road trip no issues. Mounted to the handle bars of my enduro, to days full sun was easy to read. Poured rain for half a day no issues. Crossed multiple rivers and creeks and no water issues.

Riding the same bike for 11 yrs with this being the third "upgrade" from previous Garmin GPS Motorcycle models. From the Zumo600, Zumo595LM, the Zumo XT2 reduces clutter of the wiring harness down to just the positive and negative power leads and increased size and brightness of the display. The new to me companion Tread app on a tablet for plotting routes easier and makes the entire purchase well worth the cost.

This thing was a life saver in the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina! I had no service with AT&T. I was able to control my music thru it with my gloves on as my iPhone wouldn’t respond with my heated gloves. I highly recommend this XT2! Easy to see even in full sun!

Great display over my old Zumo 396. You can actually see it in the daylight.
Also, no longer has a chunky voltage converter on the power cord so it’s much easier to route from your handle bars to your bike’s power source.

Prefer the dedicated gps for ADV bike. Bright display is easy to read. Paired with Cardo so I can hear it. Keeps track of rides and shows a lot of data. Rugged design and mount looks to hold up well. Only had a few hundred road miles so far. Looking forward to a long trip to unfamiliar places now.

It's a great unit with lots of functionality. The only downside is the lag you get through the Bluetooth connection. Being able to get phone notifications so you can decide if you need to pull over to respond is awesome. I also like the weather and music controls that you can have up in a split screen view.

Had to return it because it stopped working after one ride on a rough road. Device wouldn't stay on. It kept resetting itself and losing power. I tried the hard-wired power and the USB power and it just stopped working. The road was paved with a lot of road damage that wasn't repaired but wasn't extreme terrain. I am disappointed.
