It's great for the countertop or if you have the bracket to mounted under cabinet.

The first one lasted 3+ years and for some reason just died. Anyway, it does everything one would expect from a budget priced microwave. It is 950 watts which is interesting since most recipes call for 1000 watts - but I guess this is "close enough". The oven is pretty quiet and it does have the ultimate necessity - the 30 second button. It looks nice and the push button to open the door works well. The only strange thing is that sometimes you will key in the amount of time and the oven will not start but will rather say "Food". Not sure why but if you open and close the door and then hit Start everything is fine. This does not happen very often.
