I'm typically pretty binary in my feelings regarding microwaves...I mean they're microwaves and seriously, I'd rather do literally anything else like drinking Nattie Light (yuck) or watch The Notebook (ok maybe not that). The exceptions to this "rule" is when the heating isn't even, I get pretty irritated. Like many other people, I heat up leftovers or sometimes frozen foods if need be. With refrigerated items and with reasonable portions (ie not a hill of noodles with a 60 degree slope), the microwave does a really good job of keeping the heat evenly distributed (yay radiation). Moreover, there is a ton of space in the unit. Mind you, I was in graduate school before so the microwave we had was small and always questionable...as in can I fit this slice of pizza in there and even if I can, will it explode? Now remember, as opposed to conventional belief, microwave radiation does not cook from the inside out and why should it logically? Its a wave that hits and tried to penetrate your food and a byproduct is cooking. Ok I can rant about physics all day but you get the idea (seriously though stuff like running your microwave on empty is a really bad idea since there's nothing to absorb the waves...you can fry the magnetron --WWII tech by the way -- in your unit). Anyway, if you are worried about the "frozen or cold center", no microwave can help with that because science. The defrost function is an actual thing and not some "stupid button that doesn't do anything" as my former girlfriend used to say. Ok this review has strayed. In summary, buy this if you are fine with the size of the unit. More than worrying that a larger microwave oven may or may not cook your food "better" than a smaller one (hint: it won't), my advice is to worry about the cubic feet for aesthetics and fit. Regardless, its a fine microwave.

Happy customer here. I like my microwaves compact, easy to program, quiet and affordable. This one more than satisfies all my criteria.

Just the the right size for the location on our counter, ease of installation, proper functioning, ease of operation, pleasing appearance—all this makes this product a good choice. And the price is right, too!

Very quiet compared to the old one it replaced. Nice buttons and features. Plenty of room inside. Stainless steel front but the sides and top and have a blueish tint on steel. Front shows every fingerprint.

Very nice modern looking appliance. I thought just the front was stainless steel, but the entire unit was. Heating is quick and effective . Nice features. Nice size, not too big, not too small.

I have been using this microwave now for more than 3 yrs. It is very easy to use and has held up well over all these years. Very good purchase for the price

It's a quiet microwave, and it's easy to use. The only issue that I noticed is when you open, it's stiff and hard to push the open button, but over all it was great.

This microwave is design very well. It’s easy to clean and the capacity size is great. I like the 1_ 2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 heating timer. Each number stands for the minutes and time it heats. It’s has the same buttons of any other microwave. If your microwave is over 7 years old it’s time to upgrade to a more energy efficient microwave.

This microwave is a good value for the money. I had to exchange the first one I got because the door release button did not work quite right; you had to pull the door open while pushing in the handle. I called GE to see if there was something I was doing wrong and they replied it was a "known issue" and there was no fix. I went ahead and exchanged it since I liked everything else about it and the replacement one has a door that works perfectly. It is very quiet and cooks very well. It replaced a Panasonic that began smoking and showing flashes of flame right after the warranty expired. The Panasonic was much louder and did not cook as well at all, so this GE is very appreciated.

I loved the first one so much that when I needed to get a new one I chose the same one! It’s so easy to use and fits perfectly in the space it was an easy choice to buy it again and I purchased online and it delivered so quickly! So very happy with this purchase

This microwave does everything I need. Price was right and fits perfect on my countertop. Very easy to keep clean. This is actually the second one I have purchased and very impressed with the quality.

I like the size and the sleek stainless lines. It's a little loud but not a deal breaker. I purchased the GE to replace my Goldstar microwave after 22 years of great service. Hopefully this one will last as long and perform as well. I also purchased this GE model for my grandmother last year for her birthday and she likes it. She didn't realize how bad she needed a new microwave until she started using it.

The microwave is noce. Spacious on the inside, looks good on the outside and matches my appliances. 2 months after the purchase, randomly in the middle of the day the microwave stopped warming foods completely. I registered with Samsung and scheduled repair 5 days out from reporting the issue. On the day of the repair, during the window I was given, the sub contractor calls and cancels the visit, blaming Samsung the entire time for their scheduling policies, which the subcontractor company also would have had time to review. I explained my concerns and they offered to kick it back to Samsung to try to get an earlier appt. The women then hung up on me once I agreed that's what I wanted to do. Immediatley I contacted Samsung and they began investigating. 3 days later they contacted me with an appt. that would be outside the original date, so I made that worse for myself. I wait an additional week and someone calls to give me a date and time of repair. Now, again, I stayed at home for repair and the subcontractor arrives within the window promised. Without looking at the microwave he tells tells me it needs a new part which s out of stock!!! moving the appointment out another week to return with a part that he knew he would need, since the problem was described in detail and was common among microwaves. In the mean time, while waiting, I called the BB store I purchased from. Theyn would not let me return or swap it, but did offer to let me purchase something to use interim and would allow me to return it once my Samsung was repaired. So, the store agent has been the only help to my family and I so far. Ill update after the next appointment.

The microwave is visually appealing and the size was perfect for where it is being stored. The keypad is easy to understand and use. And the price was about right. It was a very good purchase.

This microwave is a nice combination of price and functionality. It heats food quite well and also runs quietly (no buzzing, just a normal mild hum). The stainless steel exterior looks fine on my white kitchen counter top, and it's easy to clean. Inside the microwave looks good too: the food is clearly visible from the outside because of the internal light, and the interior of the microwave can be wiped down with a wet cloth easily (again thanks to the light which helps visibility). I feel that I got a great value for my money.

The microwave is a nice size, compact, and feels sturdy. Looks good on the counter and is quite easy to use. The additional "30 seconds" button is also the start button. If I want to heat up a cup of coffee, I press the 'start' button 3 times and now I have a hot cup of coffee in a minute and 30 seconds. Convenient for me. It's only 950 watts and does what I need it to do.

This is considered a mid size microwave but it has all the bells and whistles of a larger one. Nice features and easy to use and works great!
