Replaced a 25 year old equivalent and works to perfection. There is a definite qualitative difference between GE products and competing brands.

It replaced a Toshiba microwave that started sparking and ultimately didn't work less than a year later. The buttons are more intuitive and I prefer the push button to open the door than than to pull the door open.

I looked for a built in, but it needed electrical in the cabinet above, which we didn't have and would have been 3-4 times as expensive. We bought this and it has been a true champ. We don't microwave a lot, but when we do it does a great job. I typically cook at longer times with lower power for even heating.

You can't turn off the beeper and since the microwave has express buttons that are the same as 1, 2, & 3, you aren't able to press 1 min 30 seconds.
