It was generally similar to this GE unit, but this has a couple quirks I don’t like (& I’ll note, I just got it “new” yesterday). The person who commented about the dark buttons was right & I wish I heeded their warning! On black units, GE used dark color lettering on the buttons that make them VERY difficult to read on the black console (even with a flashlight)! Also, opening & closing the door requires a harder push of the button & door (it doesn’t work smoothly like my previous unit) & doing so is quite loud, more than just a closure click. It sort of sounds kind of like clunking something plastic or metallic hard onto a counter. I can’t speak to it’s heating power since it’s new, but thought I’d share my immediate concerns.

Posted .We are so pleased to hear you are loving your new microwave. This model gives many different options and does get hot quickly. It is so nice to hear this met your price point and was good for your budget. The door on this model will automatically lock every time a cooking cycle starts as a safety precaution. If you'd like to disable this feature the instructions are on page 10 in your manual. The manual can be found under the features on Best Buys site or on our GE Appliances site under the product page.

The Best Buy crew helped us with the purchase process when we placed an order for the microwave oven and a few days later when we picked up the item from a Best Buy store in Richfield, MN.
