This microwave is great! It isn't the highest wattage on the market but it heats things quickly with no issues. My previous microwave was a higher wattage but wasn't nearly as good as this one. Also it isn't a giant microwave so I'm left with more counter space to utilize.

Recently purchased this GE 1.6 cu. ft. microwave with sensor cooking. It replaces my previous GE 1.6 cu. ft. microwave that was 18 years old. It is very simple to use and heats beautifully. Things turn out well and it is used at least 3 to 4 times a day. It has a large turntable and excellent instructions across the top inside opening.

I purchased this to replace an almost IDENTICAL (but older) microwave that we had owned for about 10 years. We never had ANY problems until recently when it failed. We purchased this online, went to the store, and brought it home. It was VERY similar, even down to the sounds of the door opening and closing. The controls were arranged a bit differently...no problem. WELL...within the second week, the thing began to fail. It exhibited EXACTLY the same symptoms as our old microwave, and then it "gave up the ghost" completely, We returned it to Best Buy, and we had "NO!", "NADA", "ZERO" problems exchanging it for the identical product. Best Buy was beyond reproach. They took the old one, bright the new one out to our car, and away we went. It has been about three weeks, and all is well. Kudos to Best Buy!

Purchased this GE microwave oven recently. This model heats food quickly, looks good, is easy to operate, but the glass turntable does NOT fit properly into the black sprocket inside the oven that makes the turntable spin. The turntable jerks and makes noises as the unit spins during the cooking cycle. I'm very disappointed with GE quality control. It's almost as if they packed the wrong turntable with this oven. Unfortunate! Perhaps Best Buy should contact GE regarding this issue.

If your looking for a big microwave this is the one. Its modern looking and heats up food good as well. Also the middle plate rotates as well not like other microwaves where it stays still.

This is an identical replacement. The door latch quit working and they have since fixed that problem. This is a great microwave, with a lot of good features and is a good size inside also.

Good mid sized microwave with decent options. Heats food quite fast compared to our previous microwave. I guess my only gripe would be the plastic of the control panel - it may wear over time but so far so good. Matches our GE oven well.

Great microwave and easy to use with good features. This is my second GE microwave only because the first one I gave away after I had moved and I wanted to replace what I had before. Can’t go wrong with this microwave it’s easy to use has great features and of course it’s great GE quality can’t go wrong with it.

We bought this microwave agter our previous one died and weve been very pleased. The capacity is perfect for every dish we’ve needed it for, and yet its compact enough to still sit on our counter with plenty of usuable counter space around it. We love the color and are so glad it isnt an eyesore. It blends in our kitchen well and when it isn’t being used, its easily forgotten.

Bought "open box". Wasn't able to get a manual, or much help from BB as to how to. Microwave works fine, but am surely missing out on some of the features of it. Can't really recommend or say it isn't good when I'm not sure what all this thing could really do.

Really happy with this product. It fits our new cabinet perfectly and it's very appealing to the eye.

GE microwave controls are very well-designed. One button touch for several time intervals makes it easy to use. Simple, logical controls, has plenty of power, quiet operation. Very pleased so far.

I'm old and it takes a long time to get acquainted. It works well. Wish my memory would catch up. Size is perfect. Quiet while running. Easy to clean. What more could I ask? Sorry, I sent before reading it. b

We bought an earlier model of this in 2010 and it lasted nearly 14 years. Would be awesome if this lasted the same amount of time. Let me add that when we bought this in 2010 it was our 4th different microwave in about 1 week. The previous 3 all had defects and had to be returned. So bravo for this model lasting 14 years. With that said, while this works fine, there are some differences in this version that bother us: 1. The door only opens 90 degrees. The previous opened to maybe 120 degrees. Sounds trivial but makes a difference. 2. The internal light is either not as bright as previous, or the door is darker. It is hard to see what is happening to your food. I've overflowed a few bowls of oatmeal for example because I couldn't clearly see it bubbling up. 3. The text on the buttons isn't a bright white. Unless lighting in the room is bright it makes it hard to know what buttons do what. 4. The timer/display isn't as bright either. When it is really bright inside the kitchen it is hard to read the display. 5. The rotating platform - old one was on rollers. This newer model is sort of a friction fit. I am worried it will burn out the motor. It has to be harder to turn. I can live with these drawbacks for the price IF it lasts say 10 years. The last item and the motor worry me.

This review covers my second of two microwaves. During my original purchase, Best Buy was out of stock so they had one shipped to me. It arrived a little late but it wasn't a huge concern. About one week in it started making a rattling noise after about 30 seconds of operation. Then the display kept showing the word FOOD. I called Best Buy, they had one in stock, I returned the machine that was not functioning and picked up the replacement. Two weeks in and the machine is functioning perfectly. I have tried the sensor function and is does well with some foods. It worked great on leftover mashed potatoes but overcooked the leftover meatloaf. It is a little larger than my previous model but fits nicely on the countertop.
