For the child lock feature, you can easily disable it by following the instructions on page 12 of your Owner's Manual, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website. Quality Microwave for low price

It would be helpful if the front panel was lit or at least have better contrast for easy selections. The interior lighting is poor and the frame seems to be cheaply made... it seems kind of tinny. The bottom line is this microwave is much more cheaply built than the previous GE microwave that served me well for about 15 years.

Larger than I anticipated but ‘fits’ in my space! Having trouble learning to ‘start’ timer-requires 3 or 4 touches before it starts!

GE Space Saver Microwave

It works perfectly fine; my only criticism is that the display is very faint and hard to see in daytime light.
