Otherwise, this was the perfect size for our space and works great. Very glad we purchased it.

Since the GE brand has been good to me, I figured stick with the brand. I found it pretty easy to install (without outside ventilation).

It is a basic unit and it works as expected so far. I chose GE, hoping that the mounting system would be the same as my last two GE units, but it was not the same. A new mounting plate and new holes in the upper cabinet had to be made for this one. My two previous GE units were purchased 13 and 6 years ago; the microwave is our most used appliance and they just don't last as long as they used to. The very first one we had lasted 12 years (it was not a GE brand, but I'm not sure it matters).

Ok Throw-away microwave
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So, now a days it seems most major appliance manufacturers make trash appliances that you are better off throwing away when the fail vs trying to repair. This microwave is no exception. This particular model, we have found, lasts around 2 years of high usage, then it is time for the trash. It's an inexpensive microwave so our expectations are pretty low. The style of the microwave is decent. When it works, it works well. We just figure it's around $100/year for this appliance and it is what it is.

I want to replace that Grill but it was costing me around 130 dollars. Instead of replacing the Grill thought I can buy a new one. I saw this microwave in the deal and immediately grabbed it. So far no issues with the microwave. works like a charm

First time to have one over the stove but it does a great job cooking. Venting is great and powerful and light over the stove is nice.

Great microwave for small spaces

It is easy to use, cooks food quickly and is easy to keep clean. The surface fan and lights attached are also useful features. A great purchase!

Same style, but updated features, of coarse. This one is the same power and the performance is very good. If this one lasts half as long I do not think I will need to replace it.

The control panel is similar but the preset commands are easier to understand and are adjustable. It came with all hardware needed to install it.

The first one that I had was almost exactly like this one and I liked that it was simple to use. The biggest change between the two that I've noticed is that the clock/timer reading on this one is difficult to read. The LED light is so bright and the numbers so close together it hurts my eyes and looks blurry when I try to read it. Hope this new microwave lasts a bit longer than 5 years like my first one, but I've been told by the installers not to expect more lifespan from today's appliances.
