Best microwave on the market

It managed to simultaneously undercook and burn things. Returned it for this one and I'm very happy. It's the same workhorse microwave GE has been making for the last 30 years and does exactly what it should.

Quick and easy,clean and neat installation

Very pleased.

It was listed on CRs best buy recommended list. Nothing fancy but gets all the basics right. So far so good. The install was a little difficult. Unfortunately the mounting bracket is not easy to work with instead of it being a full rectangle metal frame, it is a “U” shape. The bottom is fine with several holes that you can use to make sure you are putting the screws into a stud. However, since there is no top to the frame and just the sides there is only one mounting hole on each side. Studs are typically 16” apart, but these are about 26” apart. Unfortunately you have to use toggle bolts into the drywall. I would rather have screws into studs for extra strength.

Quiet microwave with loud door
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Positives - actual microwaving is quiet, performs as you'd expect Negative (only negative and reason it doesn't receive 5 stars) - the door is loud when you open and close it. Even if you try to open or close it very slow and carefully, it's still loud (especially closing). The door lifts up slightly when you close it, so it makes me wonder if it's slightly off to begin with. It's interesting, because the actual microwaving is very quiet compared to our former microwave, yet the door is much louder.

I don’t really leave reviews but on this one I felt compelled to. I was looking for a good looking, efficient, and affordable microwave and I was directed to this GE microwave by customer service. It was totally worth the investment. It cooks food thoroughly. It’s got a sharp look. The install team was professional and courteous. Big thanks to Best Buy!

Works Great

This unit replaced a similar model that was over a decade old and had finally given out. Based on some earlier reviews, I was a little concerned with noise while it cooked, but in truth, this unit is quieter than my previous model. It does seem like some of the construction (read Plastic) seems somewhat less substantial than my older model, but I haven't had an issue, and I am a bit more gentle when closing the door. Other than that (and I suspect that would be true of any model and brand in this price range) it more than meets expectations and has all the features I hoped for in this price range. I would get it again.
