This is the 4th microwave I have installed in my kitchen in 20 years. My previous ovens were Whirlpool and in those models, the display went dim. It was cheaper to buy this microwave than to fix the old one. Anyway, the pros - 1) Priced well; 2) Works well with plenty of options; 3) Love the white display. Now the Cons: 1) What company still uses incandescent lights? Hood light stinks and should be LED; 2) The door closure is terrible because it basically twists the door to ride up over the plastic catches in the door frame - I can see the door or hinge failing in time; 3) The door handle is all plastic and will fail in time because of being directly over the stove burners with the heat and steam. Our last door handle cracked after 5 years. All-in-all it isn't a bad choice but could be much better. The real drawback for me was finding out that GE sold all of their small appliances to China so this isn't a USA product. It has been working well for a month now so only time will tell.

Excellent replacement microwave oven. Easy to use and works great. Fit was perfect in the old location above the stove.

I've had the microwave for one month and it works perfectly, It was is very reasonably priced compared to many other over-the-range models. I installed it myself to save installation costs, but it took over two hours. Two people would be recommended if you're doing it yourself. My only criticism is that the stainless steel panel on the top of the door seems potentially fragile, with plastic struts for support; but I suppose that's to save weight. If not for this, I'd probably rate it five stars.

I have had this 10 months. It works fine. The lights, inside and surface, are really bright, which is great. I just noticed small, narrow cracks in the door where it meets the window. Have scheduled an appointment to have it checked out. This is the 3rd over the range microwave I have had. Each one was replaced because of a problem with the door. It's frustrating because it is extremely hard to uninstall and install these things....they are heavy and awkward. Hopefully, only the door can be replaced.

Right size for opening, works well so far. Wish the buttons were back-lit, that would be a real plus.

I was able to install this item myself. The installation guide was easy to comprehend and the fact that all parts and accessories were present was a plus. The microwave itself runs great. I have my popcorn in half the time as my older version. Cleaning is easy with the smooth surface and stainless steel exterior. I love it!!!

Second time buying this microwave. The digital display is going out on the first one. Let's hope this one does better. Otherwise, it's a nice looking microwave that works fine.

Good value, easy to install, looks great, easy to use.

I bought this microwave as a replacement for an old GE appliance. The new device looks much better. It is slightly smaller than the old unit. Unfortunately, the wall mount was completely incompatible, so it wasn't just a simple replace.

Great replacement for the one that broke. Works and looks great

We are very pleased with this microwave. Controls are easy to use and the inside is quite roomy and taller than our old one which is good. We do have two minor complaints. One is the exhaust fan is pretty noisy especially on high but it does work well. The second is the labeling on the buttons is relatively small and subtle, good for overall appearance but hard to read in low light. Otherwise, its a good product and what we expected.

Bought this as a gift for my brother to replace his 15 year old LG microwave, that was missing parts and had other problems. The condo (built in 1990) originally had a Hotpoint (GE) over the range microwave, so I figured between the mounting holes drilled in the cabinet for the original microwave, and the newer LG, one of them would line up. This wasn't the case, had to drill new holes for the new GE microwave, no big deal though. It's very quiet and cooks evenly. I would say an excellent value at its price point.

Perfect on what we needed. fits the Budget and overall very good looking for the price out there in market.

Bought this to replace a Maytag that broke after 17 years. This fits well where the other microwave was with only two holes to relocate and matches my other appliances.

Love this microwave! It gets the job done and was a very good value

Quiet when running. Though I miss my rectangle plate, the large round one in this microwave is quite sufficient. I would give it 4 1/2 stars, if I could.

We've only had this item installed for a week or two but so far it's great. Easy to use, quiet, efficient, and good-looking. Nice to have a product of the same brand as the stove just below it.
