It does make a high pitched sound when the vent is at full throttle which may bother some ears. And the exterior easily shows smudged and finger prints so it will need to be wiped down often. Otherwise no complaints.

We like that it has the 30 second button, but don't know why GE felt the need to change its location on the pad. It's a little higher wattage than the old one, which is nice. Good microwave for a great sale price of under $200 - the size and power are quite sufficient. However, if you're looking for high quality, this is not the one.

It went into the same spot - with a little work on the cord location and mounting holes. The great thing was that I got this with the installation from BestBuy, and although the installation was almost as much as the microwave, I watched them do it and was glad I didn't opt to do it myself. It does take 2 people to install this - even when you are just replacing a like model.

Unfortunately that last one had the door handle break with only what I’d consider moderate usage. I’m hoping this new one holds up better! I do like that it’s easy to use, has programming and automatic options, turntable controls and automatic start buttons. Down side is the new one still feels a little flimsy when I open/close the door. Hope it lasts!
