The first time it went out, I called GE. They helped me troubleshoot it over the phone because it was shutting off by itself. So that troubleshoot with GE customer service it worked. Now I’m calling them again today July 23, and I’m out of warranty and they want me to pay for somebody to come out for $120 just to come out and then I’m still responsible for all parts and labor. Now the microwave, the light comes on, but nothing else is working. You can’t push any buttons. You can’t see anything on the display. Up to today which was yesterday. It just stopped microwaving in the middle of a micro session. This is so frustrating. GE is supposed to be a reputable company and they have completely failed , and their customer service is not willing to do anything to assist. When the microwave was working, it was perfect and that’s the only reason why I got two stars. So it lost a star for their customer service and they lost two stars because is not working and I just got it 18 months ago. SO FRUSTRATING .

The interior height is a little less than the last one, so my morning 1 liter of tea hits the top. The turntable is a little smaller as well. Works very well. The older unit looked a little more modern with its curves & recesses. This one is pretty much a square all teh way around.

I enjoy the buttons on the side rather than the bottom. Has buttons for reheating, and exactly how many minutes rather than having to stop and punch them in. I enjoy this one much more than the other one I had that lasted only two years.

We especially like its brite and easy to read digital readout (much easier to see in daylight than our 10 year old former model). Also find the method of inputting cook time is much better than older model.
