It's ok. The keypad is really unresponsive, and sometimes the door doesn't close up properly. But it cooks well enough, if you need an inexpensive above the range microwave.

This microwave was purchased as a replacement for our 10 year old microwave which finally failed. Once the microwave was installed, I noticed a loud buzzing noise upon startup of the microwave. It was not the fan. Upon researching the issue, I discovered the microwave may have a bad magnetron. As such I promptly boxed up the microwave and returned it to Best Buy.
It is worth noting that Best Buy customer service was great in the purchase and return of the microwave.

I bought this microwave as an open box after my previous microwave had broke. I was looking for something that just worked. My previous microwave had a lot more functions then this one but it works just fine.

Decent unit but it's not as feature rich as the equivalent model it replaced. Not as many sensor cook options such as for fresh vegetables. I would not buy it again.

We bought this microwave #1. It was suppose to be brand new and when we picked it up it was an open box. We were unable to hang it since the bolts were broke off on the top. So we got them to reorder it for us. Microwave #2 came in and the box was damaged but the delievery guy said he had looked at it and it seemed to be ok. When we opened the box the top of the microve was dented in but we went ahead and hung it, You can see the dent on the top but won't be buying anything from Best Buy again.

I cannot review an item when we are still waiting for delivery and installation. The only other thing I can say is, we are not happy that we already were charged on our credit card for something that has yet to be delivered and installed. But that’s a Best Buy issue, not a product performance issue.

Nowhere in specs is it stated that this microwave is apparently designed in the 70's, since it uses 2 halogen bulbs in its over the range light, instead of LED or even incandescent. The cover to that light gets extremely hot, and therefore I can't use it like I used all my other microwave lights and leave it on for extended periods of time, since I feel that may be unsafe, or damaging to the plastic, and it's impossible to replace the bulbs with other types. GE knows that it uses halogen bulbs, and the company should make that clear in the specs. Otherwise, it performs like your average microwave.

the numbers are hard to press! I thought they should go on the moment I pressed them, but it takes a few times before it kicks in! Everything else is fine

Microwave and Customer Care failed big time

Bought this microwave on Jan 2nd, it now doesn't work, not heating food. I am an elite BB member. Bought ALL my major appliances to my house from BB and there was no consideration for me to bring it back to the store. With all the different combinations of geek squad, store warranty and manufactures warranty, this 15 day warranty for major appliances makes no sense at all. Extremely disappointed with the product but more with their customer care considerations

Not sure if I can add anything new to the previous reviews.
The good news:
1. We love the slate finish and will buy slate appliances going forward.
2. All of the features seem to work as advertised. It has the features we need.
3. Seems slightly more powerful that the old Whirlpool it replaced.
4. Runs very quiet during normal cooking.
5. Easy installation and fits perfectly.
The not so great news:
1. Agree with others. The display can be a bit tough to see in anything but a bright room.
2. Agree with others. The vent fan is surprisingly loud.
3. Agree with others. I can live with the surface light being near the back but it does a better job of illuminating my new backsplash than it does lighting up the stove top.
4. The door does have a slightly chincy feel when you pull it.
