Was a little scared to attempt putting this up but took my time with the proper tools and was done in an hour. it was important to have electrical box in the proper location prior to installation. Also to have hole big enough to let plug through to cabinet.

GE Over the Range Microwave

See reviews that this model has a history of this malfunction. Cheaper to purchase a replacement since the price has doubled on this current model.

My last microwave lasted 13 years. Unit started smoking and caused all the smoke detectors in the house to go off. No visible burning inside, I will have to disassemble to find cause of smoke.

The microwave has a 12 month warranty, but after speaking to GE customer service "cosmetic issues" are not covered. So this must be what GE expects from their products. I will not be purchasing another product from GE.
