Maybe because I didn't have a microwave for a year. It seems to have all the necessary buttons, I will agree with other comments the high fans is loud & the high light is dimmer than expected, but perfect for a night light as mine faces the entry & stairs and I just use the low fan setting. Looks great with stove & did not take up much room.

I like this product but have only 1 "cons" to this item: I wish the control panel would illuminate at dark or a button option to make it light up. It is hard to see any buttons at night and I have to turn on the big overhead kitchen light

Easy to use the new features on the microwave. Easy to keep clean and appreciate the non smudge stainless steel door. Appreciate the quietness when the microwave is running. Like the two level light and fan features. Like the level of the microwave over the stove. Easy instructional manual on how to use the button features and times for microwaving different types of food, defrost etc.

Replacement of a similar microwave installed in 2005. Keyboard failed eventually and cost for repair part rivaled cost of new unit. Microwave fit perfectly, installation instructions were good, and only disappointment was that the mounting bracket from the old unit had changed plus holes in top cabinet were different. Just made for starting from scratch but still manageable. Unit much quieter than old unit plus had the melt function that will come in handy. Overall, we are happy after a week of using and the price was great after sale price and using Best Buy reward points!

The micowave is very large even though we looked for the smallest external dimensions. No fault of GE as it seems like the entire industry is going in that direction and hence the microwave sticks outside of the existing cabinet enclosure which the previous GE Slimline did not as much. However it does everything we want which is basically heat and serve! :)

Replaced with the same model 6 years later, mostly to fit above my stove. But it works well and predictably. Bought on sale and with BB's price matching promise, this is an economical and good choice. Wonderful that I can prevent it from beeping; pretty easy to clean; easy to use. Not fancy, but it's reliable.

This is a decent microwave for the price. It showed up with marks on the stainless. When I called Best Buy customer service, the rep basically told me that Best Buy didn't deal with that issue. He also said he was not authorized to send a replacement but could sell me a more expensive one! I was shocked. As a result, I contacted another store who gave me suggestions on how to fix the issue. After several hours of trying every solution given to me, the marks became less visible. In a nutshell, the microwave is fine but Best Buys Customer Service was very disappointing.

It was easy to install. Everything is working great, but have not yet tested all its functions.

I very much like my GE microwave that was installed very much is very easy to operate and it looks good over my GE stove. It is exactly why I was looking for. I am very pleased with my GE products.

This a very nice microwave that was reasonably easy to install by yourself. One minor problem is that I would appreciate including the appropriate carbon filter with the unit( the filter is needed for installation without outside venting.

Bought this as a replacement to our old one. Stayed with Ge as our fridge and range are part of this group. Looks great.

While the microwave works fine, there are a few thing I don’t like. I don’t like that I have to push cook time before entering my time. If you just push a number, you get express cook of that many minutes. I also can’t stand how much it shows finger prints and smudges. We have slate color, and I don’t have his problem on our other slate appliances. If I had been able to use ahead of time, I would have picked something else.

Very easy to use and understand directions. Microwave is basic but cooks everything perfectly and is very easy to clean up. Microwave has a spacious inside cooking area that is conducive with most dishes. Excellent buy for the money.

Sometimes you have to push hard on the buttons, but otherwise I think it is a good machine. Hanging it was a bit tough, but I'm also not the best handy man...but it would be nice if the parts and style for mounting was universal because I was replacing one unit, so a universal style would have meant no additional work. In the end, I'm happy with my purchase.

This fit right in the place I had over the stove from my last Microwave. Easy to use, has my 30 sec button. Due to design the exhaust fan is just over the door. Did not know this but due to it, its very loud.

I bought this as a replacement for another GE that lasted 10 years. Had the same features as the lastt model, even used the same mounting bracket, which made installation easy. The only downside is that the door feels more plasticy / cheaper than the old model.

This microwave is almost identical to the previous one that was still running strong after 19 years. We had to get a new refrigerator and the bisque color is no longer available so the microwave was replaced in slate color. We really like the slate appearance. This model only allows one beep tone and a mute function. The older model had several levels of "food ready" tones. This is a poor oversight as that function is important for different times of the day.
