Bought two cheap ones (Not in price but in material). Returned them, and found this baby!!! Best machine ever!!! No more McDonald's coffee for me. This makes a hot cup of Joe everytime, and the settings that you can use are pretty dope also!! No complaints from me. If you want a good cup of joe from home, i highly recommend this GE Product.

I tried to brew twice and twice was left with a mess to clean up. They one other thing I did not like is the way the plastic is around the top. It limits pouring.

Regarding the clean up concern, water droplets may build up in the brew chamber from steam and cause dripping before, during, or after brewing. GE Coffee Machine E4 code

Is this okay to return or able to replace?

Posted .We know any issue with your coffee maker must be concerning, especially as you haven’t yet had the unit a year. We want to help. For an error code, we recommend disconnecting the unit from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electronics and can often resolve an issue. You can then reset the clock and test the unit. If the error code displays again, the coffee maker would need to be replaced. You’re still within the warranty timeframe if you need to take advantage of that, and information on the limited warranty is available on page 11 of the manual; that can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. -Sarah@GEAppliances

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A few things to note: The body of this machine is gray and stainless, not black and stainless (as is more common in appliances), the carafe doesn't empty completely when you use it to pour water into the reservoir (which is frustrating), the lid to the carafe is a little finicky, the single serve function does not measure out the water - it appears it just uses however much is in the reservoir, so you have to be careful (it doesn't let you pick between 1 and 4 cups - it's just one setting). I bought this machine over the glass carafe model because I thought I'd like the stainless carafe - but I'm not sure I do - I'm hoping it keeps the coffee hot enough to make it worthwhile. Other than that, I find this to be a pretty basic coffee maker, and a little large for what it does... GE is not the best in this area, but the price was right since I bought it with rewards.

Steel is a good upgrade

This steel pot should last. Holds a bit less than the glass model, but stays hot much longer. Lid is a bit finicky, but any adult can figure it out. Comes with an interesting activated carbon filter in the water reservoir, which presumably helps filter your tap water.

It is easy to clean. The digital readout is large enough to see. It was delivered two days earlier than expected. Overall a great working, easy-to-use coffee maker. Highly recommend.

Not a fan of the lid, though. It is hard to get on and lock and has fallen off multiple times when pouring coffee. It looks nice on the counter, but I would not pay what I did for this if I had tried it first and just gotten a cheaper coffee maker.

Stainless Steel Thermal Carafe holds coffee temperature very well. Getting that last drop is somewhat difficult, but I drink several pots of coffee a day, so there really isn't a last drop for me... Needless to say, I have not tried the single serve option. I also like the #4 Cone Shape filters. Less chance of collapse and the accumulation of grounds in your cup.
