The lid to the water reservoir doesn't stay open and will slam shut during filling/ The handle on the screen filter swivels below level of coffee grounds and needs to be dug out to remove filter. The thermal carafe has a rim at the top that prevents pouring out all the liquid, both coffee and water for filling. The heat retention of the thermal carafe is moderate to poor---approximately and hour.

Posted .We would like to give some tips to maintain the temperature of your coffee in your carafe. You can use your unit's warming plate to warm your coffee for up to 4 hours, you can do so by following the instructions on page 7 of the owner's manual here: https://files.bbystatic.com/GprcOMkqbRZi81wqnngUdA%3D%3D/Manual

Posted .Thank you for sharing your feedback. To help keep the coffee hot, it is a good idea to “warm the pot” by putting hot water inside the carafe to pre-heat it. After a few minutes, dump the water from the carafe and then start brewing coffee. Lauren@GEAppliances
