Good ice maker...iffy installation

They screwed in the front panel and put the screw through to the front of the panel. It left an outward impression from the screw tip. They had to re-use the old panel door until a new one could be ordered. Overall, the ice maker has “wet” ice. The pump does it’s job keeping all of the water away from the ice over time and the ice doesn’t freeze together. When the ice drops, it is very loud. You can hear it a few rooms away.

Good, but not a great ice maker

Always have had Scotsman or kitchen aid in the past with the grid cutter system. My husband got tired of having to clean the grid of water deposits so we switched to this GE which is a cube type. It makes a ton of ice, is loud and seems to produce a lot of pink fungus even though we run it through a cleaning cycle often. The ice scoop also does not stay in the side holder which is a simple piece of metal.

poor performer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.after about 1 year the machine started making thin, watery/brittle ice. notwithstanding multiple service visits (at my expense), the machine still doesn’t work properly and we have not been able to use it.

Ice maker is great Best Buy Forgot the door twice!
