It’s only been two weeks but is working like it should. Delivery guys did a great job bringing it upstairs.

The problem was at first the evaporator fan motor started making a loud vibration noise, however that was easy enough to replace. The big issue is that the heating coils stopped working and didn't de-frost the freezer. I've had to thaw it out multiple times over the years and finally because of the temperature difference in every time I had to de frost it, the insulation in the freezer cracked.

A mere 2.5 years later the compressor conks out and this piece of junk is a giant paperweight. When I asked the repair tech why in the world would this thing go kaput after only two years (when a Frigidaire we have has been humming along for over 20 years) he had no answer. But there is an answer. And it's this is a brand you should avoid like the Bubonic Plague. To add insult to injury there's no chance it can be replaced and it can't be fixed until the end of the month - even though it's been out since last week. Update: A tech came to do a "repair". After the "repair" it still doesn't work. You could toss an appliance off the Empire State Building, smash it to smithereens and it STILL would work better than this trash. WARNING: UNLESS YOU LIKE JUNK AND A CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE THAT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO VOMIT, DONT GET A GE

After reading a question about this the answer from Best Buy was just tell the delivery person when they deliver. Unaccepable. I'll reverse it myself.

Posted .We can understand how upsetting it would be to be told there is an additional fee. It is true that some installers will do this as a courtesy. However, if you decide to do this yourself, the door reversal process isn't difficult. We recommend having 2 people because the door can be a little bit awkward. We have great installation instructions on our GE Appliances site or Best Buys site. Joyce@GEAppliances
