Streamlined and Good Looking Inside and Out

This refrig is streamlined and good looking with recessed handles and a clean, modern front. Other refrigerators of this size/category look cheap. They have those round pieces on the door for reversing handle and it really cheapens the look. It’s very spacious inside. The only drawback is that it is noisy in terms of sounding like there’s a fan on. In a house you would notice it less, but in an apartment you are acutely aware of the sound. It’s not constant though. It goes silent and then starts up again. I’m getting used to it and don’t notice so much anymore. I had a GE Hotpoint for 27 years and it was quiet. Perhaps newer Energy Star models are louder. I still think it’s better than the two main cheap looking brands in this price class.

The best refrigerator we could have gotten

We're restricted in the size of a refrigerator that we can get. This one fits perfectly in the space we have. Also, it has recessed handles, so we got a little extra space in the refrigerator instead of having handlebars sticking out. We've had it for a couple months now and it's run great. We love the size and layout of both the freezer and refrigerator.

This freezer-refrigerator only has one temperature selector. If you set it at "recommended", the freezer is the correct temperature but the refrigerator is below the acceptable temperature range. if you increase it to get the refrigerator up to the acceptable temperature range, the freezer is above the acceptable range.

It was delivered and set up by two pleasant, careful young men just over a month ago. It has kept good cooling through a week of high summer temperatures, while surprising me with how quietly it runs. The door has deep compartments that can hold half gallon cartons or large beverage bottles. I guess that's why the main compartment feels a little more shallow than my last refrigerator, making it a little easier to reach the back. I wanted more pull out capacity than the two drawers at the bottom so I use some plastic baskets to group like items for quick access.
