The fridge is great, nice lighting but do wish the doors would stay wide open, they don’t.
The freezer is not the best. Not easy to access. If it could open wider or tilt out a bit I think that would help. You can hardly breach the things in the back of the top basket.

Thank you for taking the time to review your refrigerator. We're sorry to hear accessing the freezer is difficult and will be happy to help in any way we can. Our best recommendation is to make sure the unit is properly leveled. The front of the unit should be 1/4" higher than the back to make sure the doors are closing and opening properly. Also, check to see that nothing in the top basket of the freezer is jamming the drawer from opening completely. Please let us know if you have any more questions or concerns. - John@GEAppliances

Great product at a competitive price, delivered really fast by a terrific delivery team. They managed this fridge up 2 flights of stairs! Thanks Best Buy! We've purchased all our GE Profile kitchen appliances from Best Buy!

The handles for this refrigerator are not well designed. The handles easily pop off the doors when opening. Cheap!

Go with a counter depth refrigerator

I really like this GE counter depth refrigerator. I returned a full size refrigerator that overpowered my small kitchen. The fit here is so much better. Go with a counter death refrigerator. There is more than enough room inside this smaller appliance. Inside it It’s bright, well organized. The shelves on the doors are adjustable. I was able to toss all of the refrigerator organization systems that I had. and food will not get lost in the back. You can see everything. I don’t use the water dispenser so I cannot comment on that. The only true negative for me is that it is not as quiet as the Samsung that I returned.

I researched quite a few units before choosing this make/model. It fits perfectly in my space, and is even a little less deep than my old side-by-side fridge. I can now see everything in the refrigerator, and am looking forward to being able to tuck a whole turkey in there at Thanksgiving, which I was never able to do with the side-by-side. The ice maker is wonderful, and the water comes out nice and cold. It's easy to keep this fridge clean, and I love that I can still hang things with magnets on all sides. I highly recommend.

Needed a smaller refrigerator to fit in my space. This was perfect. Has the look of a nice big fridge but fits into smaller spaces where a single door refrigerator once was. The freezer is really small but would be okay for a couple people. Wouldn’t suggest for a large family unless you have a stand alone freezer as well. Ice maker and water work great!

For its size (18.3 c ft) it is great. We couldn't get a larger one due to the space, so it is smaller than our old traditional fridge with wide shelves. Still adjusting to using vertical space and stacking things rather than spreading out across the width of it. The freezer is much smaller because of the shelf on top of the drawer. Much harder to store things there. But it is set to zero degrees so things stay really frozen. We use the standard fridge in the garage for overflow and that is a necessity with this french door model. The filtered water is nice on the inside too.

A lot of nice features. It keeps the temperature at 37 and adjusts as needed. Lots of big door space to place items. The ability to make a 1/2 shelf for milk is ideal. The freezer is small and I feel the ice cube collection container should be smaller and give more room to actual freezer. I do feel it would have been to my advantage to be able to see the model in the store, therefore, and is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

I have had this refrigerator for a few weeks now and can say that, generally, I am pleased with it. Food temps seem good.
The freezer section is limited in size, so having both a pull-out bin and a top shelf, to me, is a waste of this space. My old fridge, which I believe was a few cubic feet larger, held quite a bit more, both in the refrigerator and freezer sections.
I have chosen not to use the water line - no ice maker connection, etc., so if I had not needed a counter depth refrigerator, I most likely would not have opted for this model.
This refrigerator is noisy - it makes a low-pitched "growly" sound when running - not sure if this is normal or not.

This seems to be a good refrigerator- I have not had it quite 2 months so cannot speak to how well it performs over time. It is a little noisy at times but not anything bad- I just happen to notice it occasionally which I didn't with my old fridge. I love the French doors- so much more room than a side by side! It does limit your freezer space quite a bit though but for me living alone it is fine. Plus I kept my old fridge in the garage so I have extra freezer space.

We needed a refrigerator that was counter depth, and unfortunately there aren't many options. This GE was perfect - counter depth, but still has French doors and a ton of space inside. The price is also good because it has a filtered water dispenser on the inside rather than in the door. I prefer the cleaner look, but it is a bit inconvenient to have to open the door to get water. Regardless, it's quiet and does what it's supposed to do. My biggest complaint is that when you open the freezer door, the top shelf of the freezer bangs loudly. From what I can tell this is just a minor design flaw - not a huge deal, but it is annoying.

Great. Small design flaw - but found an easy fix.

Great fridge. Required a small fix to the freezer drawer to get it aligned properly. It was creating frost since the bottom of the freezer drawer was closer than the top (air leaking from the top). I found this was a design flaw, as there was no way to realign the door. However, I invented a small fix to this by adding two strategically-placed washers to the freezer drawer. Locate the safety screws in both sides of the slide assemblies (see manual page 17 item E). If you place a washer between the freezer door drawer and the slide assembly it will permanently adjust the door (i.e. from top assemble the screw head, then the door drawer, then add a washer, then the slide assembly. Do this for both sides.)
Hope this helps.
Otherwise, this fridge is awesome. Great fridge space and interior design.

The fridge looks nice and is spacious. But the freezer on the bottom is cumbersome with the ice maker. it doesn’t have a lot of room. and when you open the door it sounds like something is breaking when the ice maker shelf moves along the track. Also the water dispenser is extremely slow. It takes a couple minutes to fill a small glass.

My new GE French Door 'fridge' is a handsome addition but I have one issue with it. The entire unit loudly hums and vibrates repeatedly through the day and night! Can this problem be remedied? Otherwise, I enjoy the storage options and multi-leveled lighting that brings the interior to life.
