Bought this for a garage install. Is working fine and has a lot of space for food. Some cons: (1) The entire rear compressor area is open allowing critters to setup home in the space. Being garage ready should have a grill or similar to keep the critters out. I users an A/C return air vent grill which works fine. (2) The alarm is extremely high pitched and very low volume. Almost inaudible if more that 10 feet from the unit. (3) The external temperature reading is the temperature "Setting", not the internal temperature of the freezer. Use a separate gauge if you want to know the internal temp.

We love this freezer great product. It’s quiet and very large holds all of of our items.

Bought this to replace a Fridgedaire that arrived damaged. While Fridgedaire was fine and quiet the GE is slightly better layout inside and seems much more solid built. Less plastic on the door and hinges that came broken on the Fridgedaire. This unit seals extremely well, so well that at times it is difficult to open but you know it is sealed up tight which I am OK with. It also lets you adjust the temp from the outside with a digital display. So far the energy usage for being in the garage is good but it has been cold in our area. I have noticed when it is running it is slightly more noisy than the Fridgedaire but not anything I would object about. Overall we are happy with this freezer.

Since i was unable to see the freezer in person i was not sure what to expect. The freezer was larger on the inside than expected.

I ordered the freezer based on reviews. I didn’t regret the purchase. I would order more in future

Freezer looks nice but I needed a right hand open unit. Was told at the store that the door could be changed to left or right by the store associate but he was incorrect. Unit delivered and was left hand open and I had to call and make an arrangement for an exchange. Too bad because this looks like it would have been a nice freezer.
