The refrigerator did not work when it arrived. A service call was required to repair it...as it was a Friday, no service was available until Monday...there was no gas in the appliance...I lost all of my frozen food. When you purchase a new appliance, the expectation is that it will work.

Very poor quality- all plastic and so lightweight that it moved freely/rolled each time I opened either door. No mechanism to balance- and very off balance- back much lower than front. Very costly for quality and engineering.

Difficult to level and doesn’t have levelers at the bottom. Otherwise it’s perfect for the designated space.

I recently purchased a fridge from Best Buy and was incredibly disappointed with both the product and the service. My old fridge was 35 years old and we wanted to replace it before it died, so we ordered a new one. It took nearly 4 months to arrive, and during that time Best Buy kept giving us delivery dates and cancelling them at the last minute, causing a great deal of frustration. When the fridge finally did arrive, the installation team left it un-leveled and the trim was not affixed to the unit. Best Buy refused to contact the delivery team to fix the issue, so we had to fix it ourselves, which was incredibly frustrating. The fridge itself was supposed to be similar to our old one, but the interior dimensions were either misleading or outright incorrect. The old unit had 3 drawers taking up the same vertical space in the fridge, but somehow held twice times as much in them. The new fridge has only two drawers and the bottom drawer was only half as deep as the old one. The old fridge had cantilever shelving, while the new fridge has rails built into the walls of the unit which eliminates nearly 3 inches of horizontal space while also providing less flexibility in the shelve's position. We tried to find third-party solutions to add more flexibility to the fridge, such as under-shelf drawers, but none of them would fit properly due to the bulky design of the shelves -- which also artificially reduces the vertical space on each shelf. The shelves and drawers feel flimsy and are difficult to remove. Even when we slid them out, they wouldn't slide out far enough to be of any real use, and the gap left behind the shelf also makes it more likely to knock things off the back. Petty as it might be, the LED light is also this sickly blue-green color which makes all the food look like it's gone bad. The shelves on the doors of both the fridge and the freezer are also almost an inch and a half smaller in all directions than the old ones were. Perhaps because we were forced to fix it ourselves, the doors won't close themselves, and instead, they would close slowly up to a point and then bounce back open. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with this fridge, and we ultimately decided to send it back. By comparison, this brand new fridge was not as well-considered or designed as the one we purchased 35 years ago, and we do not recommend it.

Worst refrigerator - have only owned it several years & it has been repaired 4 times - now it thaws off & on completely for no reason & the ice maker leaks water that refreezes down the inside of the freezer - the ice dispenser on the door suddenly stopped working - cannot wait to purchase a new fridge - never a GE again!!!

We measured our opening space and found this refrigerator which we really liked. We hired a contractor to trim back our cabinets and counter top to specifically fit this fridge. Finally the fridge was delivered, only to find out that the posted width is incorrect. The actual width is 36 inches, not 35.75 inches. This may not seem like a big deal but when all you have is 35.75 inches, that extra quarter inch makes a huge deal. Now we have cabinets and counter tops that have exposed sides that the refrigerator was supposed to cover. Had to pay the contractor to modify the space. Would have measured the refrigerator but they didn't have one at the store in this size and assumed that the dimensions were correct. Buyer beware of the correct width.
